This story is killer, and I'm so glad you're back.

As a mother of 3, I understand the time constrictions.
Waiting as patiently as possible for an update.

You updated!! I'm so excited, I love this story!
Poor Amon things just aren‘t getting any easier, he wants and deserves to have someone to be close to so it’s heartbreaking that you can see him wanting to reach out and having to hold himself back because of his fear and circumstances that are out of his control. But I like that we’re getting to see him starting to change it’s like we’re watching him unravel (hopefully in a good way) and just to go back a chapter, I adored the part with Nagira :) I think deep down Amon really would like to have a big brother around but he’s still so afraid of what Nagira would think which is too bad because it seems obvious that he would do anything for Amon.
I know I seem to be concentrating on Amon but he’s just such a complex guy, although the more I read of Sakaki and learn of him the more interesting he gets. It’s nice to see him come to some realizations, to become aware of his actions and how they affect the other guys and also pay a little more attention to just what everyone else is going through. It’s funny to see how his thoughts have changed so much about so many things in such a short amount of time.
I’m sorry it took me so long to review but I used your update as an excuse to reread the whole story all over again and now that I have I just want to fall into this fandom all over again. The characterizations are wonderful and the interaction between all of the guys was really great. Anyway congratulations on your new baby, I hope you’re able to find a bit of time to yourself to write because it would be a shame if we had to wait another year for the next chapter but I can totally understand how busy you must be. Anyway if you think any of my observations or thoughts are way off base feel free to email me, otherwise I look forward to reading the next chapter ^_^

This is an absolutely heartbreaking story, but I love how you've handled the emotions of all the characters and their relationships with each other, how these three are helping and supporting each other, how despite everything that they've been through they're sticking together. The relationship between Michael and Sakaki is so sweet and loving, it really gives you hope that they'll be okay which is a nice break amongst all of the angst. Then of course there's Amon who I feel a bad for because seems to want to be able to have closer relationships with people but he's unsure of whether he deserves it or not and having to watch Michael and Sakaki must be hard for him. You show him as being so vulnerable at times and yet you never let us forget that he has an inner strength, the balance between those two things has been really well done.
This isn't something that is easy to write about but you've done a wonderful job so far and I look forward to seeing how you handle the upcoming chapters, it's going to be interesting to see how everything develops :)

This story has almost left me speechless, I don’t even know where to begin talking about what’s going on. To be honest when I realized what this story was about I wanted to hit the back button and have nothing to do with it but there are so few Michael/Sakaki stories that I decided to give it a try. I’m glad I took the chance because it has turned out to be a fantastic story and really well written too.
You certainly picked one of the hardest topics to write about but you’ve managed to keep it realistic, people who go through these things take a long time to move on but so often with stories like this the authors have their characters fall in love and live happily ever after only a couple of months after being attacked and life isn’t like that. While you may have Michael and Sakaki in love it has been by no means easy and there is a lot they are having to work through, especially emotionally.
Having Amon in the story and seeing such a strong guy so damaged really is heartbreaking but it shows what this sort of thing can do to someone. But I have to say that I like the interaction between the three of them it’s nice to see Amon come out of his shell a bit and for the boys to offer him comfort and friendship. I found the part where Amon wanted to touch Sakaki’s hair as they were leaving particularly touching you could almost feel his longing for closeness. Moments like that or the scene from the last chapter where they were all together in the office are nice reprieves from the rather depressing nature of the plot, I think those moments are what keep the story from becoming overwhelming.
This is definitely the type of story that stays with you and makes you think it over and now I can’t help but be interested in where you are going with it. I’m glad I only just found it because I’m hoping that means I won’t have to wait too long for an update because even though this is angst, which is usually not my thing, you have completely won me over. Anyway so much for speechless but this is a fabulous story and I can’t wait for more!

First, i would like to congratulate you for all the chapters you have written up until now! your writing is really good and adds a lot to your story (i can tell though i'm not a native speaker myself).
Even if the theme of your fic frightened me at first, i decided to read it because i'm a total shipper for Michael/Sakaki. Then, i continued because of the quality, though i swear, some of the scenes got me almost crying or ready to raise fit the Sakaki way - or with goosebumps and nausea and indignation boiling in my veins !
I mean, this kind of story, when you read the usual fanfic, will always be so terribly cliche and wrong (you'd get a Michael who'd love to be molested just like in most the fics about rape). You actually just describe so well and humanly your characters that your fic goes way beyond the typical "rape-type" fics.
The greatest strenght of the portraits you make here of Michael, Sakaki, amon and even Zaizen, is that you don't try to overdo it all. You remain sincere in descriptions even if it puts the character in situations that are not making them look bright, that show they have flaws and this is what makes your fic so realistic and the reader can't help but identify to the characters. You can't help but being amazed by Michael's inner strenght, resisting with a kind of wry humour though he dares to reveals his frailty since he can rely on Sakaki. Sakaki himself is incredibely touching, he just lloks like the normal guy who gets trapped into something too big but keeps on fighting back, hesitating and lost at some point but able to recover and keep on. The secrets you revealed about Amon are also a great trick to your scenario and keeps on adding depth to the character.
Wow, i spoke a lot, but i dare say, i read your fic in one night a while ago, and sine then, i keep passing by to see if you updated, and i'm really glad you will, because i feel bad not knowing what will happen to these boys.
You chose a very hard subject and treat it a very good way ! Keep it up and thanks for sharing your fic !

I have really enjoyed reading the installments of "Power and Control." While I admit that I appreciate the sexual content as much as the next repressed, overworked college student, I like the way that this story explores fear (rational or not) and the need for human contact. Also like that it isn't all sunshine and puppy dogs, because that sort of life isn't likely for these particular characters. Can't wait for the next chapter.

WOW. I just read all 12 chapters over four days, but that's all I can come up with to say... For the most part. Here's the rest:

All the characters seem spot on, great job. You also have a great sense for describing everything just enough... Not so much that it becomes weirdly distrubing, but not so little that one can distance him/herself from it.

By the way, it seems you are trying to hard to hint that Sakaki will be the one to give Zaizen his comeuppance, while setting up Michael to actually snap and do something for his lover's sake... but then there's the complexity that is Amon... Great job at keeping us readers guessing! And you had better give the boys some slack soon, or at least another small reprieve, preferably lemon flavored...

On a more personal note: As a gay male stuck in a small, homophobic town in Texas, I'll admit that the idea of rape becomes tempting sometimes, but whenever it does, something comes along to change my mind, completely... Like this wonderful story of yours. Thanks.

I'll be waiting anxiously for the next chapter!

I accidentally stumbled upon this fic, but ooh! It's so addictive! XD I couldn't stop reading! Hope to see updates soon, especially if those updates involve Zaizen getting the crap kicked out of him. =[
