I liked the idea of picking the plot from OVA - your fic makes more sense than the original story. Well, at least the first chapter. I think you could spend more time on explaining Powell's reasoning because at this point "“To get laid?” Powell chuckles briefly" it started getting funny. Yes, I understand it's nice to rape and degrade Ken but why Powell would think this way too - I don't know. If I remember properly the man wanted the military power over Japan. And what does he do - spend his time on raping and talking to Ken Hidaka (who he keeps in the box). Or maybe I just didn't get the point of this fic... The last sentence "He can't even remember how many times he has been raped." makes me think that maybe I just expected too much?

Well, I look forward to update.

*squeals for a very long time*

Oh, I've MISSED your fanfic! I'd almost forgotten how damn good you are at writing itself, nevermind writing glorious Ken angst and torture. Oh damn. Damn, m'lady. I'm going to need a new heart because it's all shredded up for poor KenKen.

Very dark, but I love the way you play it out. There's so much foreboding that I spent the entire time on the edge of my seat, suspecting what would happen but hoping I was wrong, fascinated with every detail of every exchange. Your descriptions, as always, are gorgeous. I wish I could write a scene as engaging as you do. It seems like we get every aspect needed, the descriptions and character emotions and action, all wrapped up in this beautifully done package. It becomes very engrossing.

Powell scares me. x_x He's frightening as all hell. I assume it's on purpose; if not, I'm even more terrified. He's an element I actually approve of even more than your previous fics where Ken was violated by Schuldich or Farfarello. There's something cold and in control about this mere human that's... it's just that much more creepy. The rape scene made my stomach crawl and that doesn't happen easily. I love a story where the scene makes me feel as sick as it should; you're so good at this.

Oh Ken. I wish to hug you and put you in blankets and give you cocoa and never let you go. ARGH.

The end of the second chapter about made me cry. Oh, Ken.

Hmm. Other little notes? I adored how you did Manx, the whole thing about the ankles coming back into play; it was fantastic. The heightened reality of the first scene in chapter one; the smell of copper and cigarettes on Aya. The ghost army. Ken's raging mind, it shatters so messily but so realistically. The police, There's nothing to see here, move along. The INSANELY CREEPY LAST LINE OF FIRST CHAPTER. The execution of Kaori. And oh: "Why, Ken wonders, did I fight so hard?" GAHINTHEGUTPAIN. And then the entire rape scene, just... violent and disturbing and fracturing. The ending about caved my heart inwards.

You are made of brilliance. Hi. :D

I enjoyed reading this. It's always good to see a Ken centric fic. The darkness of this is very fitting for Ken. He has so many issues to deal with. I'm looking forward to reading the next chapter.
