Too bad there aren't more stories like these once the anime ended. Very good!

Finally...a story that captures what women really want (though they protest to the contrary) in a man...which is to say...a man. Not a boy or a non-threatening gay friend. At least, that's the undercurrent that I see in the canon character of Haji and that's what makes him sexy. The Perfect!Haji fangirl version that's portrayed in so many of the Blood+ fics seems disingenous to me; reflecting a fear of masculinity instead of an embracing of it. Then again, most men these days have absolutely no idea how to properly treat a woman and most women don't know how they want to be treated so they settle for either dependency or shrewishness. Guess it takes wisdom and experience to appreciate the finer points of "viva la difference." This story only ventured into Passive!Haji mode a few wee times, but you justified it with biology so it's cool. Saya was, well, Saya as expressed in canon which is to say, somewhat shallow. As a fellow fanfic writer, I genuflect to your word mastery and style. This was erotica that I could follow and which made anatomical sense. Overall, one of the best presentations of this material I've read to date in this fandom. And I'm pretty picky. Kudos my friend! P.S. I'm new in this fandom but have written with success in The X-Files world for years. My usual betas don't get my latest obsession, so I lack a critical eye to anything in process. If you're so inclined to beta a piece, I'd be humbly grateful to share. I've been dormant for a while and fear that I'm a tad rusty.

Absolutely amazingly well written. Seriously. Treat yourself to a great big piece of chocolate cake or something because you totally deserve it. I love all of the detail in this. The look chiropterans as a species rather than just a thing. The bits of French, because no matter where they've wound up they were originally living in France. And you managed to make things downright hot without loosing either Haji or Saya's core characterizations. Well done all around!! Excellent job!
