I like this very much. Yuki's thoughts are very real, and believable. Shindou's reactions were perfectly in character. I didn't notice any grammar mistakes, if you hadn't stated it, I would never have known you were not a native English speaker.

The way the scene ends is poignant. I hope you have more planned soon.
