Whoo hoo! That rocked my socks! It's really great to sit down and read a story by an author who actually knows how to write.

This was really good for a first fic! So many writers can't even spell anymore, and they just don't know what they're doing, but this was very well done and I liked it so much! I think this is good as a one-shot, but I would certainly read more if it continues. I would enjoy seeing what they do to drive each other crazy, but not be able to stay away from each other. I would so love to see Mugen get lovesick and whipped! Ha! Keep up the good work!

wow..havent seen much of the show yet, only whats been on adult swim and from what I can tell you have the charactors pegged soo right, and I can sooo see this happening lol, great work, would love to read more, see if Mugen can seduce Fuu into more and if Jin will find out and what his response will be..from what ive seen I thought Fuu had a thing for Jin, but then again, there are bits of scenes when I think she wants them both..but is that soo bad?? hehe, great work, thanks for the great read, would love to read more if you decide to add more, till then much huggles and smiles Mija...:-)

    @ citrus baby:
I see what you mean. No worries, thanks for answering me back. I thought I got the impression of Mugen's "pedestal" thing from the anime, but perhaps not. I'm not going to say that I wasn't infuenced at all by "The Electra Complex" because I read it, so it must have influenced me on some level, as things do for every artist. And now that I think about it, perhaps Mugen was a bit angry, but I was going more for leecherous rather than angry, though, it is angry.

As for the thing about not wanting Jin to know, that was more about trying not to let an older brother found out. I mean, would you want to your older brother, whom you looked up to, find out you were fooling around with the town rebel? I think not! LOL Since Mugen is pretty much an open book sort of person (Ep. 24 gives that evidence the most, I think), Fuu would be scared Mugen would accidentally tell Jin and therefore have Jin see her in a different light. This is definetly a FuuxMugen thing.

I won't go into an indepth essay (though I could! LOL), but I felt that the relationship with Fuu and Jin was purely fraternal, but that there was a possibility for more with Mugen, but neither character would let themselves go that far.

Anyway, thanks for your thoughts, they do help! :D

nah, i wasn't accusing you of plagiarism, seriously. but i'm glad you didn't take it like some of those really bitchy sensitive writers that would instantly grab my last comment as a direct insult and post it to the world for other people to flame, assuming things that i never even mentioned.

about the last comment, maybe it was because i read 'the electra complex' right before i read this fic, i dont know, but the references to her put on a pedestal and mugen being so angry and spiteful towards fuu set me off a bit. i did not get the feeling at all from the anime that mugen felt that way, and i never got the feeling that fuu loved jin either [i have no preferences, really, so i don't believe i'm being biased]. in the anime, both mugen and jin wanted to help fuu and had some feelings for her and vice versa [though, i always doubted that they were in any way romantic]. from this fic, i got the feeling that it was automatically assumed that fuu loved jin.

anyways, that is how i felt, and that is what i meant. but if you can honestly say that you weren't in the least influenced by 'the electra complex' and all the ideas were your own, i will take it all back and apologize.

First off, I would like to thank everyone for the reviews!! You’re so nice!

I wasn’t intending on posting about them here, but I felt I needed to respond to citrus baby’s comments. I feel the comments were close to accusing me of plagiarism, and that is something I would not do. As I posted this fic, I felt a bit worried that I maybe had unconsciously copied someone else’s work. I have read “The Electra Complex,” it happens to be one of my fav fics here. However, I don’t think that my story and that one are in any way, shape, or form related. Since this is a fan fic, I’m working with characters that are already created, so I think most fan fic’s characterizations, and even character thoughts are going to be similar to a certain degree if the authors want to keep the characters from going too OOC. That said, I believe our Fuu’s are very different and Jin isn’t even mentioned except once at the end. Mugen is almost always the same in most fics that are not AU or OOC. Even so, my Mugen is not so attached to Fuu, (perhaps not yet, though if that happens, I intend on an original way, I swear! LOL). And even the scenes are no where near the same. I don’t have scenes. I have one scene, well, sort of two, but really, they’re all the same place and same time. And the only similarity I could find has to do with water in both fics, but what happens seems a lot different, and I also believe “my” Fuu lacks the bitterness of the other one. Without giving much away for any other chapters I may post, I think it’s obvious where Fuu’s heart will go. Also, to be quite blunt, most of these fics are about making the characters fuck, so, well, all the situations will end up similar! LOL

Anyway, sorry that’s long. Citrus baby, if you would, please point out a little more specifically the similarities of my story to “The Electra Complex” such as actual dialogue, or character actions, because I may have missed in my scan where they are similar. If they’re that similar, I’ll change my story, but I really don’t believe they are.

And sakura, thank you so much for helping out, too! I think it means much more coming from someone else than the author! :D

Just because two fics start out the same doesn't mean they'll end up the same (I don't even think they started out that similarly). As for the similar characterization...well, they ARE using the same characters from the same anime. I think this fic is different from "The Electra Complex" in that it's pretty lighthearted whereas TEC is very very angsty (I prefer the more lighthearted stuff myself). Plus, these two authors have very different writing styles, just a vaguely similar (but also very common) scenario...

That being said, looking forward to the next installment of this 'fic! :D
