I loved the chapter as always, but I hate cliffies...What happened to Naoe? Argh, guess I just have to wait and see.
Lol. I almost thought we were gonna see a bit of smut, buuuut... That looks like it'll have to wait. ^^'

seriously nobody wana read my fics? was it that lame? anyway! i have FOUND POSSIBLY THE ENDING STORY OF MIRAGE NOVEL BY KUWABARA MIZUNA-SENSEI!! it may help inspire you sakurazakumori-san.

I managed to get my hands on the translation and the clip off the drama cd where Takaya/Kagetora dies with Naoe beside him. (sooo heart-wrenching!) I have several questions about this: how and from what did he die? and what did he mean by "if I can live past this, please place my soul in your body"?

This is related to the first question, I suppose... in regards to what happens to the soul. Naoe came back to life in the series, and as did Kagetora when Naoe forcefully placed his body in the body of his then-lover. So why was it that Kagetora was dying and Naoe couldn't do anything about it? (or was it his soul that was dying...? o_o)

Also, is there a chance that they might meet again? (as implied by the "if I live past this..."?)

What happens at the end after the death of Kagetora? Does Naoe manage to fulfill Takaya's wish and bind Nobunaga's soul? Does Naoe die? What has happened to Yuzuya and the rest of them?

the replied answers are:

2) Naoe lost his powers mainly because of his mental health... his issues with Kagetora/Takaya. Too tired and depressed, his powers were weakening. He finally lost his powers and sight after protecting Takaya from Nobunaga. And he got shot to death while protecting Takaya again. But Kenshin brought Naoe back to life to "save" Kagetora by exorcising him as his soul was dying and to take over Kagetora's role as the General/Leader of the Uesugi army... which Naoe did not do, of course.

3) The first time they did it was in volume 20. I guess it was consensual, though it was kinda rough and bloody. In volume 21, that was Takaya masturbating. Did they freely and willingly go to one another for solace, comfort, sex...? Well, they stopped fighting over things like power, pride and ego. They fought to protect each other, particularly Naoe, who was desperately trying to save Kagetora's soul. And someone (Hyoudou) did mention something like Naoe was the only one who sees/knows the weaker/vulnerable side of Takaya. Naoe was still extremely possessive too. ^^

4) Kagetora can't come back to life or repossess another body because his soul was dying. I can't explain this well. It's something like Kagetora's soul holds a huge amount of energy and after 400 years of "living" and the fight with Nobunaga 30 years ago (where he was injured by Nobunaga's Hakonha), he was beginning to lose control over his soul's powers/energy. Soon, it would sort of explode and self-destruct. The only way to save him was to exorcise him as soon as possible.

5) Kagetora died in Naoe's arms and placed his soul in Naoe's body. Yuzuru (Miroku) instructed Naoe to place Takaya's body into a lake. When Naoe (along with the rest of the Yashashuu) defeated Nobunaga and returned to the lake, the lake had already dried up. And where Takaya's body had laid, there was now a sakura tree in full bloom (Takaya's clothes were at the roots/base of the tree trunk). Beside the dried-up lake, Yuzuru had turned into a rock.

Naoe did not die... He promised to go on living and repossessing bodies, with Kagetora's soul with him. Naoe returned to the seaside where he and Kagetora first met, thinking back on the past. He can't hear Kagetora's voice (from Kagetora's soul inside him) anymore, but he can still feel/receive Kagetora's thoughts. I think that it was mentioned that soon, Kagetora's soul will lose its form or shatter into pieces inside him.

Great God, after being missing in action for few weeks, I see THIS! *Starry eyed and huggles to the author*. Wonderful, the plot is back on its tracks after too much angsting on Naoe and Takaya. And Nobunaga, I'm so happy you decide to use Nobunaga,the rockstar. It's really cool but I'm reeeeeaaaallly hoping that Nobunaga will do something more towards Takaya. I mean Takaya's the uke, right? I'm sure seme-Naoe wouldn't be too happy seeing his beloved gets too much attention from Nobunaga after betraying Yuzuru and saving his boyfriend's ass. It's just a little request from me since you made Naoe stand up easily to Takaya(the God of his life), Nobunaga's going to be a piece of cake.

It's so good!!! I love your story and it's one of the longest Mirage of Blaze stories I've ever read. It's definitely amazing and I honestly can't wait for more.

omg I think I spooged myself.
This is the most erotic thing I ever read, I swear my eternal soul on it. And I've read a great deal of erotica. The descriptions were utterly mindblowing, and your use of language is exquisite. I used to pride myself on being a writer of erotics... but after reading this, I now demote myself to a scribbler of smut.

..... Bloody Hell, this fic is amazing. I've never read a Mirage of Blaze fic with the characters so much IC. I absolutely adore how you've portrayed Naoe (and his relationship with his friends), and of course the smut makes me blush beet red. Great job! Please update soon! :-)

I just wanted to let you know I have read all of the chapters that you have posted and I am afficially addicted. This is the the first time I relly gotta chance to relate to Chiaki lol and I must say he is pretty cool when it comes to him and his Lord Kagetera. i just wanted to say thanks for your many hours of enjoyment and keep up the good work!
