Reviews for Touché

wow. this is the second time i have read this and i am just as impressed. you did a great job of making Saionji the prickly bastard that he is while also making him seem vulnerable. i don't think that is an easy thing to do. and Touga was so, so, smooth.

i found this piece to be very, very hot, yet at the same time to be character driven and engaging. i usually like to have more criticism to my reviews, but i have little to critisize in a constructive manner - a couple of grammar points maybe a stray word choice or two. but on the whole i found this peice to be exactly what i thought and what i'd like to think alot of viewers/readers, wanted to see. i think the relationship drawn here is what many fans hold to be canon, or feel should be canon. i think it had the right mix of power and sex.

i really liked the self defeating thoughts that Saionji has. it really shows/gives him depth. it makes me as a reader want to know how he got that way. it's not jsut Touga. sure Touga see it, and takes advantage of it, probably has for years, but it speaks of something more. and Touga is so smooth to see it and take advantage of it. part of me doesn't want to believe that Touga would really ever force anyone, or that he truley views his friend as someone to be mocked and used to the point of true hurt, but ... you paint him that way here and without more to this story i guess we'll never know.

this is a great one shot. i do love the portrayal such that if you found yourself looking or feeling like there is more to this story to tell or explore, or if there is another tryst waiting to be played out with these two, i would read it in a heartbeat.

ps - i'm really surprised that not too many people have reviewed this.

as i watched the revolutionary girl utena series, i was struck with the overwhelming idea that saionji was in love with touga........when it showed how saionji was sad because even when they were children, touga didn;t treat him as a true friend, i just knew that he loved touga, and that's why he was so deeply hurt by what a bastard touga was, and why he refused to lose to him..........but then, saionji was a bastard often enough to himemiya and utena..........ah well..........i really enjoyed this short little story- it truly captured the delicate balance between love and hate, pleasure and pain, that the series seemed to possess in abundance.......again, arigato, and i hope that some day (if not already) you find your eternity.....

Only one review for this? Strange. Well I for one couldn't walk away from the fic without leaving a review. I loved it. Very nicely written with one of my favorite pairings from that anime. Well done.

I've always enjoyed poor Saionji being tortured by Touga, it almost seems natural! Great fic, I love how you keep there personalities like that in the anime! Keep up the good work!
