The first few times I've read this fic, I thought it was simmering to boiling hot. "Get me a fan!" I thought. And "Could Amon the Brooder get any sexier? Of course he can, especially when he becomes Amon the Funny." Which, although very entertaining, did seem kind of OOC as did Robin's character in this fic. Sort of, kind of OOC, but I liked it anyway.

But you know what? Those initial thoughts of OOC-ness were completely wrong. Amon's humorous sarcasm *is* in character. Robin's sweet but insistent bossiness is also in character. (Special kudo goes to the detail of the way Robin doesn't waste a single crumb of the coffee cake. Totally fitting for her.)

Why do I think this? Well, after watching my beloved fansubs of WHR from start to finish this past weekend, I realized I missed a hell of a lot, ESPECIALLY the subtle humor that exists in both Robin and Amon. That's the thing with WHR. It is so easy to pick up the obvious that the subtleties of their personalities are missed. But this fic, as sexy a lemon as I've ever read, focuses on the subtle traits of the characters rather than the stereotypical Robin as sweet and Amon as brooding. That's what sets your funfics apart from the many of the WHR fics.

Re-reading this fic reminds me strongly of the episode "6: Raindrops" in which Robin's quiet, stubborn streak appears as does Amon's dry humor. She grabs him to help her and she pretty much tells him what she wants. What makes the whole thing funny (and correlates to this fic) is that the guy does it. At one point in the episode, Amon even says something like, "I had no idea you could be so pushy." He's annoyed but only slightly so and at the same time, you get the feeling that he likes this part of Robin, because he supports her every step of the way. "Raindrops", to me, is the episode in when I started to get the feeling that Amon's interest in (and respect for) Robin took a definite turn and this fic definitely highlights their personality traits that creep up in that episode.

After re-watching that episode, it gives me a greater appreciation of your work both here and at ff.net.

Hope you have more of these coming but if you don't, then I'll just keeping enjoying this one.

    Respectfully ~ BRG (aka Puaena)

Eep. It was interesting, but I like "Endymon" so much better because Amon and Robin seem more IC in that fic rather than this one. Don't get me wrong, Amon was in character, but Robin's characterization was driving me nuts. It was wonderfully writen, but the characterization was little to hard to like =/

Awesome! Awesome awesome awesome! I was so angry earlier because I was reading this but couldn't finish because my father desperately needed the computer... but he left the computer on for me when he was done! ...However, he forgot that he had the screensaver enabled - password included - so because I wasn't able to jump online right away, it popped up and it took me even longer to get back on. O_O That's my story for you.

Anyway... I will tell you what I particularly enjoy about this - Amon's sense of control. Yeah... I'm one of THOSE people. Hahaha... I don't know, it just gets me when a character like Amon is so... in control...

Er - but yes. Very believable. I hardly think it possible for such a stoic man to melt into a puddle of goo at the sight of Robin (or whatever). What's great is though you kind of get the feeling that Amon is very much in love with her and is probably inwardly melting into goo, he manages to remain in control (there's that word again) and be the same outwardly that he usually is - except he has more casual conversation with Robin. Woot! You also make the casual conversation believable as well. Who would have believed that someone as seemingly detached (per se) as Amon would be able to hold a casual, and slightly entertaining, conversation with anyone? After reading this, I DO.

    Hooray!

It was a great story. It was a nice surprise that Amon and Robin were already in a relationship. I got a kick out of that. But what was Amon's gift to Robin?

That was beautiful...the originality of the scene simpy blew me away. The description was wonderful and the interaction between Amon and Robin well done. Amon's idea of tying Robin was a great one; I was glad to see that you added that spice to the story. Amon's sarcasm was absolutely hilarious, despite the OOCness of it all (but I'm sure you did that on purpose). I also loved that line about the neighbours, it sure had me laughing. This is probably one of the best A/Rs I've ever read ^__^
