Reviews for Truth of Darkness

Your chapters are so long...it took a long time to read up to here, but I find it satisfying that someone decided to continue the series that (obviously) will never continue.

The Touda-centric viewpoint is nice, you get to see everything...the one thing that was a little annoying in the actual series was that there seemed to be too many things going on at once...and there didn't seem to be enough focus on one "point", one adversary...unless it's man-vs-self, but I find that kind of conflict a lot more evident in fanfiction--so much I begin to question whether there was that much in the actual manga.

So, you've decided to introduce a new antagonist, I suppose, now that the Golden Emperor is deceased.

Touda's point of view about freedom is interesting--the way Sohryu discussed it, he seems to have some ulterior motives for freeing the ex-Lord.

The way you've turned this makes it quite interesting...I look forward to any new installments.

    Kudos

Considering the title of this chapter and the content, I'm really curious as to the aftermath of what Touda did in eating that. Cool that you got very tech with the fantasy setting, just like in the manga. Keep up the good work! This is really interesting to read!

I think Erel, cute as she is, has strong Mary Sue tendencies, but considering the abundance of Mary Sues in YnM, I don't think you should worry. How nice Touda is to her, how interested in her welfare/motives, seems a bit strange. But, that aside, the latter half of the fic was interesting and pleasantly complex. Your descriptions were well-written and really went far to craft a mood. Touda in the void was a memorable scene and his choice to ingest the (insert word I forgot here) was a touch of brilliance on your part. Good job! You definitely have a creative mind and that is wonderfully apparent in your work. The cliff-hanger is a killer, but forgiven when you update. Thank you for keeping on with this fic.

A thoroughly enjoyable read. I like the premise of this fic and the complexity of the drama is top notch. I'm not quite sure where you're going to go next, but that's a compliment in my book; I like to be kept guessing. Since Souryuu is likely my favorite character in YnM, I'm doubly pleased for the quality of writing. Please keep up the fine work and thank you for posting it.

I'm absolutely loving this. I adore anything Tsuzuki/shikigami based and this suits me perfectly. I'm currently trying to fill the fanfiction world with shikigami works of my own and I consider your great use of their lives a pedestal I have yet to climb up on. I'm working on it but I just love your work. Keep it up love. ==_=='

i like it. i don't know how to say this, its just... something that is different from the usual fanfiction, plot and all that... well-laid out too, and the characters are all evenly formed. the feelings and the emotions, the pride and the uncertainty... also the clash of powers... may your skills as a writer continue increasing.

Your attention to detail is fantastic! I am very impressed with your ability to keep everyone in character, and your ability to keep the story moving at an ideal pace. You have a very strong and compeling plot, and I am really looking forward to seeing where you are taking this story. I hope that you shall continue.
