Reviews for L x Light

Oh, I like Light's exhaustion in the first chapter.

I like L's insistent, constant advances, simultaneously mental and physical.

I like Light's sudden, startled realization that he is Kira, and L's reactions, intrigued and observing.

I like the way Light just keeps being Kira without consciously choosing his words and actions, even though he doesn't remember.

I like the intense focus on the analyses of the situation, and on the simultaneous physical seduction.

"Ahh, there it is." Really, that brief exchange was incredibly hot. I... guess I just like to see L dominating Light-as-Kira (or at least in control), even if mainly in words. Still, it's dialogue like that, that makes the story for me, more than anything else. (Also, the story title has my hopes up in that regard.)

I like how L and Light's alternating feelings of defeat and victory are reflected by their physical actions towards each other. And I like that they do alternate as they continue to analyze.

I like that Light is still Kira, that you didn't make the decision that many authors unfortunately make in trying to absolve him of his crimes and his unquestionably manipulative personality just because he doesn't have the conscious memory. He's not a different person when he doesn't remember, and while this story seems to lean towards the opposite extreme, I like it, because I like that Light so much better than the passive and innocent post-forfeit Light of canon.

I like that so many excellent chapters were posted in one day and I didn't need to obsessively check back every few days-if-not-weeks for the next chapter to be posted. And now I've got my hopes up to see the rest very soon.

I didn't so much like the sheer emotion of the piece. It felt a bit over the top to me. I can understand Light crying after learning what he did, the silent sort with a few angry or terrified tears, but the way they both revel in each other's affection just feels a bit off. It seems to detract from the continued rivalry.

But I do like Misa's anguish at the end of the 4th chapter, and I must say that I really like your choices of phrasing throughout the story so far (particularly in that last paragraph), as well as the italics and run-on sentences that I've really grown to find quite effective in fan fiction.

Cool. An interesting twist. I kinda like L on top though, he's obviously more dominant. Light is uke!
