Reviews for I Love You

wow. totally great. a great follow up.

the voice is good, still in character. i liked the honesty in his vulgarity, as he talked about fucking this one or that. there were a couple of phrases or descriptions that i found to be a little raw (not a lot, just a little) but it was so honest that it didn't seem vulgar.

both the Sanzo and the Gojyo characters are angsty (as are all the Saiyuki boys) but you made a distinction clear in that your Sanzo's angst was very tense, very wound up tight, but Gojyo's is INtense, very directed, very passionate.

writing wise it was pretty smooth. there was the odd grammar error, maybe a sentence or two that could be dropped for more drama, but on the whole good. the "confesssion" style monologue is not one that i've ever given much credit to probably because i feel it has been done to death. but here i enjoyed it very much. maybe it is because you got the voices down so well, maybe it's just because i love these boys, but the monologues were original, distinct and emotionally involving.

the play with the titles and the fine line between love and hate is clever and well done. now that you have given us both sides, we need to see something bring the story together. as a fangirl i want to see the hot boy sex, but as someone who appreciates a good story, i am interested in seeing how the two confessions are brought together. should it be a trilogy with one last installment that brings them together? if so, should it be another confesssion style? but whose voice? or maybe it should not be confession style, but if not, what should be done to bring the three peices together? or should there be 2 more installments, both confessions style one from each point of view, of how they come together? of course i want them to come together, but do they need to? is the story better off with them being in torment? (please say no!)

anyway, those are just some of the things i thought about. if you write more i will definitely read! if not, thanks for writing what have. and thanks for posting!

i noticed there was no review, so here's mine, even if you know it already...

gojyo is very much his man here. a man in love with someone he thinks/knows does not love him (yes, i read the first one... the one with sanzo) and is terribly frustrated by that fact, particularly as he is a man who knows he is attractive to women, and continues to prove it all the time.
his character demands that he proves it all the time, for rightfully or wrongfully, each woman he woos (or attempts to woo) is his mother (actually stepma since she is jien's/dokukaji's mom) who hated him and tried to kill him..

sanzo is just like his mom, hard to please, prone to anger (with the same attempts to his life - his mom with an axe, sanzo with his gun!), and his attempts to make sanzo fall for him parallels his mom... and like his mom, sanzo is bitchy.
(i love sanzo but he can be such a bitch)

so that what sanzo does is simply reinforce gojyo's "love".

so a gojyo in love with sanzo is feasible, in that context -
but i think he really loves hakkai, he just doesnt know it - of course your fic does not cover this part, but i am also trying to convince you....
