Reviews for Do as I say

I think that to get a good understanding of what is going on in the story, one has to have an inkling of the psychological aspects of Dom/sub relationships. The role of control trumps everything else here, including the assumptions we have about "good" paternal/filial interactions. What Arthur did, from his perspective, was good for him and for Alfred because of the need for control/to be controlled. Alfred obviously doesn't see it that way explicitly, but near the middle of the story it is clear that he is still unable to deny that need to be controlled by Arthur.

There are no enough stories like this one around, period. Most fanfiction involving torture, humiliation and/or D/s are painfully (pun intended) lacking the psychological parts of it. The focus is always too heavily on the sexual aspects, as if trying to make up for that lack. So, thank you for writing this! It proves that sometimes the most erotic things don't actually mention sex. ;-)
