This is, I can say honestly, one of the best stories I have ever read. You have everyone totally in character (or what we'd expect of them in this situation, anyway...), and the twist that Wild Eagle was using narcotics was a highly unexpected one. Personally, I think you should make a sequel to this, explaining how everyone moves on from this point, and how they deal with this trauma.
