To answer that question for anyone else who reads this- they fall asleep on the tile floor outside of the shower. That\'s where they are when they have sex. They *were* in the shower (because I\'m assuming they had been, at some point, in the shower before that scene in the anime) and then it goes from there. The speech Kaworu makes and the hands touching and all that.

you really got into how Shinji thinks in this story, the way that he always seems to be worrying about getting left alone. alswkwawkward fumblings! very sweet, though painful...
