Oh my God... I read your latest chapter (Broken) while at work and I almost cried... my eyes are actaully watery and my hands are still shaking, and it has already been 5 minutes since I finished it.
Touya finally admitted defeat and accepted everything Yue did and said. Well, Sakura has always been his greatest weakness and Yue finally used his trump card. I guess Touya will really do anything for his sister... even being completely subservient to a master.
For some reason, it was so hard to imagine Touya submitting and finally being broken like that.
Oh my... I'm sorry for the incoherency of this review... I'll be patiently waiting for the next installment.

*deep breath* Where to start................Wow. I come back from a small vacation, and discover that you had two more chapters and were already on chapter 39. I could hardly believe it!
I have concluded at the end of chapter 39:
1) I hate Yue
2) I hate Yue
3) Syaoran is irritating me
4) Sakura makes me smile (when she's not getting almost raped)
5) I love Yue
6) I love Touya
7) Despite Touya shattering Yue's trust, I forgive him
8) Despite Yue treating Touya terribly, he's in love so I forgive him
9) I want something horrible to happen to Yue to teach him that force is not the best way to solve problems
10) I want something horrible to happen to Ralen ......... because he's Ralen
I can't wait until your next up to see what is going to happen next; so update soon. Please. By the way is the next chapter going to be Yue-centric? I love chapters that delve into Yue's mind.
It's so strange to see the contrast between the 2 last chapters. 38 began with Yue making love to Touya gently (he's never been so gentle before) Then he is almost overcome by Touya's loving kiss goodbye.
Chapter 39 began with Yue contemplating how best he could hurt Touya and later on he rapes him.
It's incredible how easily things go from good-to-bad with these 2. They just can't keep their emotions and feelings from hurting each other. Amazing contrasting chapters.

ok, I had to review once more...
People keep saying he broke down Touya's spirit...I actually think capitalist wasn't talking about a broken spirit...his spirit was more shattered when he wasn't eating and practically gave up,and like somebody said before, his attitude was broken, nothing else.
No, I think he means everything else is broken: the trust he had on Yue, Yue's own heart, Touya's pride, and even Touya's promise of taking care of Sakura. And lets remember, he still can't face her.
I hope you had a nice birthday capitalist, and hopefully by the time you make the next update I'll be able to send you a fan art of your story I'm drawing!! ^__^

Well, I am back to review a chapter for the second time. I just couldn't stay away. A matter of fact, I am still crying on and off without even having reread it. Its not really in me to reread such a tortuous chapter. Me and my stupid habit of becoming too attached to the characters. Add that to the fact that I research slave systems ranging from India to the Ancient Roman Empire as part of my job, I get trapped in the horror and the reality that no one can remain unbroken (especially people who do not bend easily like Touya). However, this is fiction and we can remain somewhat optimistic.
The main speculation seems to be over 'what is broken.' At the same time, everyone insists that Touya loves Yue in this fiction. If that is so, maybe what is broken is Touya's heart. Afterall, part of what makes love is trust. A belief that you can make mistakes and somehow work through it. A beleif that the other person will not intentional seek to do you real and severe harm. Its a feeling of safe harbor and security. Maybe Touya really did begin to feel this around Yue. Thats why he tried to escape. Even if it was subconcious, he believed in Yue enough that it never dawned on him that Yue would kill hundreds or that he would rape (violently and repeatedly I might add; something that frequently kills the victim from internal hemmorhaging and other related problems)Sakura just to get back at him.
That illusion of security has been ripped away. Whether he wanted to admit it or not, he started to feel really secure around Yue. He knew what punishements he would recieve and trusted him to not get too extreme. In this chapter, he saw Yue almost kill him. He saw Yue almost rape his sister. He heard Yue casually throw out that he would take action that would kill to severely hurt hundreds. He saw the joy on Yue's face as he was in intense pain...as Yue raped him violently again and again. It must seem from the outside that Yue's greatest pleasure comes when his slave is in pain. Right now, Touya's heart must be bleeding. All sense of security or dreams of anything even as mild as contentment must be shattered at his feet. I am not saying that he is not strong enough to pull himself out of this rut. I am just saying that if anything is broken, it is not only his pride but his love.
