Creepy ending. But I did enjoy Sakura and Syaoran’s little moment when she burst into tears – Li is a ridiculously perfect boyfriend. But I love him anyway. What I’m enjoying about this story is that, unlike any other (of the admittedly few) Sakura/Tomoyo fics I’ve read, this one doesn’t demonize Li or punt him out of the plot in the very first chapter. He’s obviously a big part of this story.

Regarding Tomoyo (who so would definitely say something like that Winnie-the-pooh pillow line), her pull on Sakura is obviously stronger than either of them consciously suspect. She’s literally feeling Tomoyo’s angst, and Sakura doesn’t know how to handle that. (And Sakura does too love being the center of attention, didn’t you see how she was playing it up on the stage as the prince? People don\'t join the cheerleading squad to blend in.) When Tomoyo said, ‘quite the opposite’, I got that Tomoyo meant she was hurting Etsuya, and not that Etsuya was making her happy. Right?

and since you brought up the whole \'rain\' thing, what does the title of this story mean?

That was beautiful. You are a true poet. This everyday speach was transformed into poetry throughout the entire piece. I loved it.

Well, that answers that question at least. Concerning Tomoyo’s and Etsuya’s relationship. Although I’m still not too sure about Sakura and Syaoran. I’m glad Li didn’t go home, I had a bad feeling too. And Sakura’s bad feeling really makes me worry; I hope you don’t plan on killing Syaoran just to get Sakura into Tomoyo’s bed.
How can no one else have never noticed your errant gray and black uniforms? It bothers me every time you mention it. Maybe it’s just because I’m so fact-conscious after writing 70 episode narratives. I was right, though, wasn’t I? Tomoyo is in every single darn episode.

While my irritation for T. Sue grows, I did like her/your insight on Hester’s problem. I don’t consider religion to be inherently bad anymore than marijuana or TV, it’s just a matter of how addicted certain people become. Look at the 9/11 hijackers. It’s all about perspective, people.

Certainly unique, to see Tomoyo from an OC’s perspective. And the poor kid just doesn’t know what he’s in love with, couldn’t comprehend the nature of his competition. Sakura beat him with ‘hello’ and a rabbit eraser. I liked the detail about the wings on her backpack, because those cute things are a big part of Sakura’s appeal. She can’t even own a pen without something cute on it, even her phone has to be pink and decorated with a charm. Sheesh. Anyway,r Tor Tomoyo, as usual. Not jealous but very much in her own world, in the shadows where Sakura will never belong. Living her mother’s life over, that’s swell. It’s unclear whether Tomoyo’s had sex with Etsuya, or her body is just beginning to think about it. Ditto for Sakura.

Loved the final scene, with the invitation to stay over. I automatically adore any scene between Touya and Syaoran, and maintain Clamp didn’t give them enough screen time. Peeking between blinds – fabulous. I’m easy to please. The shared and secret grin was better than a kiss.

This story has been up for a while, but it hasn’t been updated. Don’t let the low review count on this site discourage you, it’s the same for everyone. Over a hundred people looked at PS before even one left a review, and after a month I only had about six. Given the astonishingly low number of stories here (considering CCS at ff.net has over thouthousand) I’m not even sure that many people come by. So just write, and eventually the reviews will come. For me if nothing else, because it’s a relief to read a story where Sakura isn’t living in the throes of a foreign-literature loving depression following Daddy’s death. She’s more Sakura-like in this story than your other, and I appreciate it. That’s the girl Tomoyo fell in love with, after all.

So, I like the imagery of the bedroom ceiling. It is very much a part of our routine, very simple and basic. “Though yes, I’d have loved if she asked” doesn’t set well with me. I am of the mindset that Tomoyo is not capable of being loved, as I said in Behind the Camera. She’s all give and no take, which I blame on her unthere father. Though maybe he is dead and it is not his fault. Still, I said I’d read the story and I’m gonna.

Well, chock full of imagery as usual. You seem tve ave a thing for the adverse elements – if it’s not incessant rain then it’s muffling snow. I knew it wouldn’t be Eriol. But it occurred to me when reading this, that those few times I’ve seen Tomoyo put with an original character it has always been female. Like, Tomoyo is a lesbian EXCEPT when it comes to Charming Blue Eyes over there. Geez people, make up your mind!
Ahem, excuse me. Very tragic, of course. He’s got all the right qualities and they could have a perfect thing, except she’s already decided it won’t happen. BeCAUSE Tomoyo cannot deal with being loved. As I’ve said.

The psychoanalysis continues. Even in her fantasies it’s still Li with Sakura, she seems utterly unable to place herself in her own daydreams. Too used to being unloved, so inept at seeking attention. Does poor Etsuya even know what she’s seeing as he strokes her face? Did Sonomi close her eyes during sex and picture Nadeshiko?
Leaving Tomoyo aside, I really appreciate your take on the S+S relationship. So many fic writers seem determined to turn Syaoran into a modern Romeo, post second movie, scattering rose petals and writing poetry. Falling in love doesn’t change your personality! He’s a quiet, subtle guy and that’s how he’ll be with her. And yes, they’re not lucky at all. They did suffer for this love, they did work hard for it. They deserve their fluffy moments.

The writing in this is just gorgeous. I have to admit, not the kind of story I expected when I came to this site, but I was very pleasantly surprised. You even have an original character whom I don't hate! I hope you continue to write this story.
