So far, so good. The first chapter has good introduction and that's my just my first reading. However, since this is a multi-chaptered fic, you still have a long way to go into convincing your audience that this pairing is plausible, that the veering away from the conventional pairing is worth the time for the reader.
I wish you luck on that because I, myself, enjoy alternate pairings. As long as it's well-written.
