Ugh, Wolfwood death.
I usually avoid these stories, but I enjoyed your characterizations nonetheless. I like how they had a real relationship (or at least that\'s how you made it sound). The moments you included between them were gratifying.

Good fic, I enjoyed it a lot, the characterization was pretty much dead on.
Yeah, I think it was too ballsy for Wolfwood to tell them to fuck off; more than that actually the entire concept of using Vash as leverage was a bit off-base. It\'s true that Nick is the only gung-ho-gun who can get close to Vash, but Knives wouldn\'t threaten to kill _Nick_ to keep him in line in the first place, he\'d threaten the kids at the orphanage.
Regardless, it was a good story.

As far as I can tell, it\'s mostly anime-based, per your inquiry. I didn\'t really see anything that was blatantly manga, at any rate, and Chapel himself, the mentor, is solely and anime construct. Anyway, very well-done, well-written. The POV switch half-way through was interesting, and it worked. You might try to think about making the switch more obvious with a divider thingy, but that\'s about it. Kinda makes me want to cry, though. Poor Wolfie.
And yes, Wolfwood would tell K&L to \'fuck off\' in so many words. ^.^
