I remember watching Aeon Flux when it was first on MTV. I was a big fan of the program and I am a big fan of your story. I think that you have captured the atmosphere of the Aeon Flux world and the voices of Aeon and Trevor Goodchild perfectly.
Aeon taking Olli to bed - definitely something that Aeon would do. Paul actually being alive - a plot twist that I didn't see coming (shame on me), but fits perfectly. And the eggs, too!
I'm curious if "A Rose Born of Acrid Soil" is also the name of a Rammstein song? (Sorry to have to ask - I'll try to keep searching this online.)
I am looking forward to the sequel. Great writing and a great story!
