Actually, I rather like your OCs - from here and from Poison. They may have varying sizes in their roles, but all have a life of their own, which makes the canon characters interacting with them that much more interesting. One isn't waiting until the boys are alone for more smexing, but also looking forward to them meeting new people. So, no worries.

I also rather liked Kemara from the previous story and am glad we're seeing here again. Marcus amuses me quite a bit too.

XDDD Myona's introduction amused me endlessly, as did Zel getting mildly jealous there. No one else greets him that way indeed. *giggles*

I started reading Poison and Birth Rite yesterday, and I'm afraid I could not bring myself to stop until I reached the end. You have an addictive writing style, and the plot just drags people in.

In addition, the way you write the characters is the best I have seen, and I am highly disappointed in myself that I did not stumble across it sooner. I have no idea how I managed that, but I'm glad to have found it after returning to one of my favourite fandoms.

And as many have most likely told you since the last chapter, I am very pleased to see that you are continuing with the story, and I can't wait to see more!

Just reviewing to tell you I absolutely love your story (and the one that came before this) even after several reads, and that I hope you're able to continue it. I'm not going to say "soon," because I know how life gets in the way, so don't feel I'm harassing you. n_n; I hope you can get a sense of just how enormous a fan I am of your work, though. Your Xel/Zel fics are the kind of thing I aspire to (and generally fail miserably at). ^_^

nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! dont stop writing this story it's so good ; ; i love how you write what zel and xellos are saying, it really sound like them. i mean i can actually picture their vioces in my head saying what you have them saying in this fic it's so well written. the 'luv' scenes are awesome as well, sexy, hot, and most important tasteful. and again it's amazing how you can capture all the different personalities of each character. even your oc's have distinctive personalities! i read this and it feels like i'm watching a unreleased episode or something. please dont stop writing it ;; i can be patient ; ; just dont leave it hangin!

(and I had to work the next day too urgh...may the Golden Lord bless coffee...and red bull while she's at it)
I also love the little excerpts of The Princess of Fate at the start of most chapters I actually would love to read those too lol.

Also I'm quite fond of your original characters they fit very well into the Slayers world also Zelgadis is very much in character as is Xellos.

Just a little idea on the side: since Xellos is mentioning often that he'd love to see Linas reaction to the books - it would be a funny little interlude ^-^

Anyway please continiue writing! It's sad to see that the interest in the Slayers has dimmed so much in the past years...and so refreshing to find fanfics like Birth Rite when it has ^-^

I've been keeping up with your writing for almost a year now, I think, and I'm always impressed anew! This is the third time I've read "Birth Rite," and it gets better with each reading. Your characterization of Zelgadiss and Xelloss is better than mine could ever hope to be, and your mastery of plot are enough to make me blush with shame at my own inadequecies, all while I wait avidly for the next chapter! I think Seme-Zelgadis would be wonderful...and as always, I am amazed by the depth of plot and character developement in your story. The only thing that could improve it for me would be for Zelgadis to flay Marcus into many tiny pieces.
