At first I wasn’t sure if I wanted to read any of fanfics for Ai no Kusabi, the anime/original story seeming to be too perfect to ‘spoil it with any of the fans fantasy’. But I loved yours.

And your friend is right – your fic isn’t a failure. Don’t ever think that. Each person sees the original characters different. In all animes there is a big field for interpretation. We all start out with the characters we create in our head after watching the anime or reading a book.

After the concept of our new fic/story is born, we start writing. But each story has a mind of its own. The characters start twisting and stretching to fit it. I can perfectly understand you, so many times it seemed that they just went out of control, but yes – the WHOLE idea of writing Fanfic is about that – to create a new enjoyable story in the world of the seen anime, the story that would bring pleasure while writing and reading it. You fully achieved that.

Oh, I didn’t want to say that your characters seemed to be out of control. It seems your fic affected me deeply, and I can’t even form normal sentences, hahaha
