You did portray the point you wanted but I feel the story was lacking and just not that good. My issue with it is that Shin's Kanji is Trust, its a guiding virtue and the Ronins have a hard time acting against their virtues let alone out right betraying it. The fact that Shin did just that, betray the trust of one of his fellow ronins makes it no longer believable. I think the story would have flowed better and been a better story if you'd used a different Ronin then Shin for the betrayer. The fact that this is very out of character for Shin just made the story for me fall apart and made it feel forced. It was like you ignored the nature of the character to just drive home a point.

WOW I loved this story. It was so intense and real. You peiced this together wonderfully!

Incredible. This fic made a hard, solid point that was highlighted by great use of wording in the dialogue toward the end. Simple words spoken by the characters left more time for the reader to dwell upon the emotions rather than what was being said. Brilliantly placed flashback; the reader starts the fic oblivious and then learns the truth... but the lines were my favourite part. The final \"I hate you\" as the epitaph really drove the nail home. Seiji\'s character was excellently correct; absolutely wonderful story. I adore it. =)
