man i loved it! you know, the same thought occured to me when i watched that eppy. he was more than powerful to end that dead priest without harming seras yeet he still chose to turn her into one of his own. this is a nice take on that account. mweh, i really hope you'd do a multi-chaptered fic that correlates all of your wonderful works..but that's just me. n_n

Your style is breathtaking. Very well written.
I think this fits more OVA verse than Manga verse (I mean, Manga Alucard wants to *die* -and plans to- and thinks vampirism/vampires suck, so why turn someone he likes into a vampire? OVA contradicts Manga canon, so I don't think they can mix smoothly without making Alucard hugely OOC). Other than that, I really like it (first OVA fic?). Specially when Seras confused Alucard's face with her father's, very true to herself in that part.
You have a good OVA!Alucard's voice.

Where in the manga is it indicated Alucard wants to die? I have only been able to get up to book seven, but that seems wrong. He appears to enjoy his job as well as his life very much. Plus, the OVA is supposed to be more manga based.
Anyway, this is an interesting take on the beginning of the story- and well written. Is there more to come?

Spoilers until last chapter of the Manga (74):
I don't want to spam but it's all there in volume 8 chapters, explicit said during his fight with Anderson (Hundred Swords arc, Might&Magic, etc): he wants to die at the hands of a human (chosen beloved enemy is Anderson, the new Abraham van Helsing figure. He told Anderson he was just like Abraham).
It was pretty much hinted in v3 and v4, though. Alucard mentions death sometimes and states that nothing can live forever. Also, his distate for vampires is pretty much canon before he broke down and cried in v8 in regret for his dreaded fate. He isn't friendly or kind towards ANY vampire, even Seras sometimes. While he loves humans (real humans, not dogs) and respects them.
You see, Alucard considers humans something beautiful and precious, he tries to avoid Anderson to forsake his humanity, pleads to him because he CARES for Anderson. When Walter appeared before him as a young, handsome and powerful vampire, Alucard laughs bitterly telling him he was far more beautiful as an old man. Hence why turning Seras Victoria was against his normal opinion (and he himself said so in v2, she would have been better if she died as a human being). But he didn't know Seras (or care for her. Otherwise, why could he shot her down in cold blood? Then steal what HE loves the most? Oh, he does care for her now, but back then when he met her? Unlikely), she was a stranger so I guess he felt less guilt and isn't as upset (plus it's pretty implied, not explicit yet but strongely displayed, Seras was turned to *replace* him as the new ace of Hellsing. I doubt Alucard will survive the Manga, unless he turns human by some miracle, he hates his exitence and promised to meet Anderson in hell soon).
The OVA is more faithful to the *plot* however, the characters (except Anderson) don't appear too faithful to me. Plot's about a war with Millennium and IScariot, that will be faithful. Hirano said in MANY interviews he doesn't want the OVA be a copy of his Manga. Episode 1 wasn't faithful to Volume 1 in terms of character interaction. Particulary Integral and Alucard, who were like one dimmensional to me.
Note: I LOVE the fic. I was clearing doubts about the Manga to the other reviewer.
