Okay, now that I'm back from work and am not rushing off to get an hour and a half of sleep I can give this thing a better review. It will be a bit of a ramble. For sure. First of all... I think Zoro and Sanji as a couple is a horrible terrible idea, based on the series alone. I keep seeing them together in fanarts though, and it's hard to find alot of good fanart without them as a couple, so I've gotten used to seeing them together... They are both hot, I can understand why people would want to put them together... Now then, my philosophy on fanfics... I believe that the purpose of a fanfic is not to continue a story that has ended or any of the other possible reasons, the reason for it is to allow the characters freedom. In fanfiction you can do things that would destroy a series if they were done in the real manga, or things that would take the story in an entirely different direction than the artist was intending to go... And the cool thing about fanfiction is, since it's not official, a character can die in it, and yet still be alive in the next story... Anyway, because characters are always doing things that are so very unlike what they'd be able to do in the real series, they are usually acting horribly out of character. What separates good fanfic writers from the bad is the ability to make the characters thrive and be believeable in their out-of-character state. You've done this very well. I have a hard time imagining Zoro getting so scared and wimpy but it does fit, it just is hard to believe he'd act that way, but then again, his nakama found it hard to believe too. Luffy... I really like how you handled him... He's really smart every once in awhile in the official series, so it shows that although he seems to have some serious ADD, he's not exactly dumb.. and I've always wondered what he would be like when he didn't have anything to chase after. I think that was fairly accurate. Sanji's is the most believable I think, just because he's the one whose head you get to see into, and you can understand his feelings and thoughts and such. And you made Sanji and Zoro so cute together too. Hehe. Uh... I probably had more to say but I probably shouldn't say more. And I don't remember. (the lack of sleep kicking in?) anyway, uh... way to go... I've only been looking for about a day and a half, but this is the only exceptional One Piece fanfic I've found yet. Yay.
Oh ah I just posted this and forgot to make my main point... Point was that although I think Sanji and Zoro are horrible together in the series, I've always thought that a good fanfic can make all the difference and you have made a SanZo believer out of me. *nod* although, I now sort of have 2 personalities in my mind every time I think of either of them... but that's ok.

Oh ow my eyes! (lack of sleep)
I am now going to get uh... an hour and a half of sleep... assuming I fall asleep instantly... before I have to go to work...
I kept telling myself to stop reading, but... *claps* good stuff.

Oh my goodness.
You have written something of remarkable beauty and poignancy, something I read through in almost one sitting. I had to take breaks to laugh, and to cry, and to get tissues (and to pee). I was delighted, grief-stricken, amused, tickled, touched, impatient (men!), and randy.
You have a gift. And given that you've completed this huge, wonderful creature, you've got dedication.
I tip my hat to you, and bow as well.

Wow.
And a hell lotta words, but that was the first after I read the story. [Your closing remark at the last chapter really hit me in the gut and I thought I had better comment because this was definiately deserving of a comment.] I first saw "21 Chapters" and went kinda skeptical, but seriously, I think it was the best ZoroSan fanfiction story I have evern read. Ever.
Amazing usage of words and the format of the story was very hooking, not to mention the whole drama, action, and the relationship bond between the both of them. Great humor, as well ^__^
Fantastic job on this! I think I'm going have to bookmark this for future repeated readings..>>

Oh my god love for this. This is what I did with my morning (well, technically morning. It's 6:45 am right now).
You have to first understand that I've never read anything longer than a page for this pairing, and certainly not before the last two days.
The... emotions and... STUFF. Stuff happens. Yes. And it all gets so strong, right before All Blue and the restraunt, and then it's as though he's frozen there. And you just KNEW that Zoro was alive out there, because, come on, like hell a storm was going to kill the greatest swondsmen in the world, and then he's going to be executed and oh my god the angst over THAT. On top of all the fluff in the beginning, even. And Luffy... Luffy. Stupid kid's grown a crew.
Yes. Love for this.

Oh man, that was awesome. I'm new to the whole One Piece fandom and it's bittersweet reading a fic like this one. On the good side it's an excellent way to be introduced to the ZoSan pairing, but on the otherhand it will be a long time before I am able to find another One Piece fic as good as this one. I hope to read more from you sometime and if you put up something else you should email me XD Good luck!
