Uh, not sure but it just seems like you're writing out the movie and adding in stuff as if she were living now.

How is it a different beginning?

First of all, you have a potentially good story going here, however, I feel it's following too much with the Movie. I don't mean to be rude, but this is fanfiction, spice it up a little, like the comments you have Chihiro making, make more full scenes like that. don't just follow the original movie because it gets boring after awhile. Also, if this is in the future why doesn't Chihiro and Haku (or anyone for that matter) remember any of this, or does she lose her memory from before? Explain that to me please! OTher than that, keep it up. I would like to know how this is going to turn out.

Love the story and would definitely like to see it continued. You have great writing style. Oh, and just as a note, I think perhaps that you meant to use the word "ferry" instead of "faerie" in the second chapter. I'd love to see more of this. :)
