I understand you don't know much about the ten aristocrat but you tried, though i think you should at least know wolfram's uncle since you ve watched the Anime. He is a complete opposite of what you said and his very fond of his nephew, his name is woltarana von beleveld.
Great story by the way, i know you are already in your 17th chapter but i wanted to say my opinion.

about #17...
Despite the tender moments in this chapter, my favorite
scene will always be when Yuuri hauls off and clocks the
prisoner a good one! I like seeing a main character who
seems passive break out of the norm and ACTUALLY become
assertive!
Anyway, I'm still on the lookout for updates.

Wow! This is a really amazing story! You can't imagine how much I yelled at my computer through most of these chapters as if it would make a difference. I'm glad Yuuri is finally being a little less numb. I really would love to know what's going to happen, so you should update really soon.

missed ur story so much... and btw, dun be bothered by the 3rd season of kkm. i like ur version better. hehhehe.. (i mean, wth? yuri went ga-ga with sara, duh! and dun let me start on gwendalxanissina thinggy, and gunter has turned into a full time clown, my goodness!)
it's about time yuuri learn all about responsibily. he was to lax in the series. you story makes a lot more sense. so.. ganbatte! i'll wait patiently for the next installments. ja~!

about #17...
FINALLY!!! A reaction out of Yuuri!!!
I was wondering if the man was going to grow some balls and ACTUALLY do something.
I was getting kinda tired of passive and MORE passive Yuuri.
I mean, damn...I'm not one for fighting myself, but if my people were in danger, yo'
azz is damn straight I would do something. No matter how uncomfortable the decision
makes me.
Then, for me to find out my spouse & child were attacked...and in my bedroom??? Oh
HELL no!!!
Bottom line, I think you gave us something to sink our teeth into with this chapter
and it was ALL good.
Well, I appreciated it. Shoot, that punch Yuuri gave was worth it, I was kinda hoping
he would have blasted the SOB into the wall.
Can't wait to see what you have planned in the future, as long as there is some
future ass-whopping from Yuuri, I'm there with a chair & popcorn! :-)
...oh, and I can't wait to see Wolfram as the blond spitfire again.

I was really impressed right off the bat with your writing. Most KKY stories have the characters acting too much from the anime, which is to say a lot of silliness and nonsense. I like how you gave the characters a developed and developing sense of maturity. Yuuri and Wolfram both are true to what I feel from the anime, but also have "grown up." I also appreciate how you've given depth and interest to your storyline. Each chapter develops and pushes the story forward. I'm relieved with every chapter that there is a story and that it is moving forward with what seems to be a plan. I don't like stories that don't seem to be "going anywhere." Of course, that means when I got to the last chapter you had posted (chapter 17), I was disappointed that I had gotten to the current ending. I hope that you continue to write, even if it is in your free time. There is a serious writing talent that you have and it is nice to read more polished writing. Please continue writing and I hope that this review finds you well and happy. Best wishes.

Your story is not perfect but its amazing to read =D
Don't worry about rewriting the whole fic, I'm sure others would agree that that we like your fic just the way it is. Please continue updating when you can, its simply a torture to wait for a great fic like this.

I am always hanging out for this fic! My day is brightened immensely when you have updated!
Even when you have not been able to post for months, I know it's all good because you said way-back-when that you do post this fic slowly and considering how much you write, that is fair enough! I think you're awesome. We have known from the beginning to expect slow updates and we are given very high quality work for our wait.
I do admit I had to look at your reviews when I read your review response and well, n00bs can be cute...sometimes. Just because you have spent a week or two marathoning all of KKM does not make you all-knowing and a completely 'diehard fan'. I mean, looking at your original created date should give people a clue as to how long you have been working very hard on 'Love and War'. Kyou Kara Maou has been going for a long time and we have all had to wait a long time between seasons, especially when there was not going to BE a third season. The manga has finally be collated in volume form too! *squee says I!*
I am not bothered by your aristocrats at all because I know that technically, they came first and I like your characters! They fit in very well with your fic.
I am glad you are sticking with your characters and not changing them to suit the recent (and great) third season, not only would it be a personal hassle, but would be a hassle to us who knew your characters originally.
Maybe you could add to your first chapter warning about the spoilers (mainly to save the same 'complaints' coming through) just how long you have been working on your fic and how long KKM has been airing for to give these n00bs the heads up ^.^
