This is very well done. I particularly like the part of the priest playing devil's advocate. The question and answer session in the first chapter feels very real and is eloquently worded but not embattled as so many of those conversations often are. I've enjoyed it.

Sorry to hear about your emergency especially with Christmas so close!!! Hope everything goes well! I' ve read the whole story so far, and usually I am not one to review but your writing and description with plot. scenes and characters is just so great I had to!!! I think Alex is a great character it would be interesting to see here origion story she seems so complex. I'll try to review more often Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years!!!

Don't apologize for cliffies, they are what keeps people coming back. ^_^ Honestly, I think Alex may be trying to make Abel jealous...but then again, she seems to have a little fire there for Hugue. (the French is very nice, btw. Definitely making me think to translate it.) Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing Alex and Hugue together, but that is entirely up to you.
