It's rare I see a good Smoker/Ace fic and this one falls under that category. I can't wait to see more of this and I hope they get back to the right time as well as Smoker and Ace smoothing things over. Great story, great plot, great coupling. I love it.

The slower updates are a pity considering how much I love this story. Do you have an account at fanfiction.net? That way I can simply put a story alert on this and then go my merry way. Do you still need a beta? I noticed some grammar and spelling mistakes, as well as some technical errors. I take it that this is an AU? Anyway, I hope you add more soon!

ch2: haha. i loved this chapter. i especially loved the interaction between Ace and and his grandpa. i wish they'd do a similar scene in the manga.

3: yosh! this was really funny! i can't believe luffy interupted them! even on a deserted island they can't get any peace! lol. i love luffy lots! hope he stays cute and fun in this story!

Although this is not my favourite pairing, you're pulling it off quite credibly. However, what I like the most is this great plot you seem to be going. Changing POV is also nice.

I love this story. The chapters are absolutely huge and your character development is great, especially considering Smoker and Ace are more secondary characters than anything. It's been a while since I read a One Piece fic and I'm glad this one turned out so good. Don't know why but half+ of the One Piece fics, the author seems to think the bad English dubbing of it means to half ass the stories. Minor grammar problems but nothing horrendous, I barely even registered them while I read it. Keep up the good work.
