I swear I reviewed this when I read it a while ago, but I guess not... Well, anyway. I loved it, it made sense to me, and I think it fit in very well with what little we saw of Shido's past in the anime. It's almost like Nightwalker was a novel or something, but I can't find anything, not even in Japanese, which makes me sad, because its a great series! It really hard to find Nightwalker fanfiction, and you did the series justice I think. I would love to read more from you!

This was really well written. I completely enjoyed it. There are so few people who have watched this anime, and I think they are missing out. Thank you for sharing this here. I am sure that I never would have found it otherwise.

"But Cain, he thought, I will never be the same because of you... Things will never be the same again." ... I'm not sure how old you are, but for something written five years ago (probably with less experience) that's a very grasping line. Simple deduction, simple style but piercingly effective. It made my heart heavy but at the same time, it summarises those type of relationships into a very clear perspective.

By all means, if you have more of these stories lying about, put them up. I was very glad to come across this one. And by the way, the formatting is not a problem; i'm usually wary of stories with an odd format (they tend to come with odd writing too), but this was a very pleasant surprise. Keep up the writing!
