Wonderfully written. Thank you for such an interesting story about my two favorite closeted Clamp characters. (and you know Clamp has so many to choose from)

This was so perfect in every form...
But it left a few questions unanswered. Since Doumeki is Himawari's bodygaurd, that means he has to travel with her. Will Watanuki go with him? Will he stay? Will they just be seperated (no!).
Ah well. Good fic.

I've read this twice in as many days. I think it's my new favorite bedtime story. It's beautifully written, with wonderful detail in every aspect, and the characterizations (even being au) are spot on, which I can't thank you enough for. You restore my faith in AU fics just be being one of the few to realize that just because it's a different universe that isn't license to completely change the character's personalities. And, I loved the way you described and tied in Yuuko. That was the most Watanuki interpretation of running into that woman that could possibly be imagined. You had me rolling on the floor laughing, which can upset sleeping family members, I'm anything but quiet in my glee.

A few minor mistakes, little type-Os here and there, but nothing glaringly obvious, I hardly noticed them through my second time reading. Most of what I saw was in the second part of the story. Nothing really detracted though, so I guess it's not a big deal, but I thought I'd point them out to you in any event, and I can even go about hunting them down specifically for you at some point. There are no objections to a third reading on my end, even if it's for the purpose of being some sort of Grammar Nazi. I'm far from perfect in my own writing, so don't feel offended.

My favorite part that wasn't the hot smexing up at the end would have to be when Watanuki was pounding on the door asking God for a sign when Doumeki spoke up and you had that one line 'God?', and second to that would be when Watanuki mentally yelled at himself to form words. Both those little moments were great. I also sincerely enjoyed when Watanuki detected that hint of bitterness in Doumeki's voice about wanting to go meet with Himawari, pointing out his interest in Watanuki but not over done or obvious. Your subtlety and ability to put together a believable relationship within the short period of time this story takes place in deserves an entire bakery's worth of cookies. If I were to quote all the parts I enjoyed about this story, I'm afraid I'd end up reposting both chapters.

You're right when you say that the xxxholic fandom is under loved, but if people knew this story existed, I think we'd have a flood of fangirls lined up shouting their love of Doumeki/Watanuki. Please keep gracing the internet with your wonderful work, and I'll be keeping an eye out for your stories here and on ff.net. When it's not five in the morning, I may even go back and review there just to boost your ego some more. As it is, this is just me rambling about how much I adore your story and secretly wished it would continue. I keep trying to imagine what would happen when Himawari showed back up, and get the sneaking feeling the friend she went to visit was Yuuko. However, I won't demand that you continue, or ask you to, because I know how difficult that can be and how horrid the attempts can turn out. I'll just hope you get the urge to write more one day.

You inspire me, and I suddenly feel the need to go and start actively writing for this fandom again. I swore I would a dozen times before, maybe I'll actually get off my lazy butt and do so this time around.

I found your story at FF.net and - obviously - I had to read it here ^^. I can't express in coherent words how much I loved it, I got completely caught in the little universe your words were creating, following the gentle flow of the plot and waiting for the next scene to unfold and reveal its secrets (who were very naughty! *grins happily*). Watanuki was great, I enjoyed the story from his - flailing/introspective -POV, and Himawari was his usual friendly, cute self, but the best of all was Doumeki. You made me fell in love with him all over again.

I would love to read more of your works, we share several fandom likings after all! (and I love Tom Felton, too). For now, I added you to my author alert ^^.

You have to post this in the doumekiwatanuki community at LiveJournal, they'll love the story as much as I did!.

did doumeki know kimihiro from somewhere? I read the first chapter twice and i haven't read the second yet but when doumeki and kimihiro meet kimihiro doesn't tell doumeki his name but doumeki knows it when himawari comes out?

It was cute and funny and so anti-depressingly LOVABLE :)
And it was going completely fine until the whole saliva thing. -shakes head- sigh. -disappointment- You could have made Dou go and get the cooking oil Wat was using for dinner - but you went on and used the saliva. -shakes fist-

...other than that, it was the best Dou/Wat EVERINTHEWORLDOFSLASHBLYAOI

goodness, i think this is the best DouWata i've EVER read! seriously! i can tell you definately put some time and effort into this. the lemon was perfect and wonderfully drawn out without becoming tedious and boring! i also love that it's AU *and* that while doumeki is his typical stoic self, he isn't a complete brick. i totally appricaite you giving him facial expressions and a personality~! goodness thank you! i would wish the world of you to write another Douwata! it is definately a strong point for you!
