interesting fic you have.
you're having gojyo behave in a manner i would expect if such a thing happened to him

the kou chapter might have been hot.
as for sanzo, i'm not sure how chivalry would appear with his makeup, but i would expect koumyou to be so,
so sanzo might be so.

hakkai's reaction in chapter 3 is spot on. except that he probably wont really kill sanzo
and i like goku being sweet. i think he is.

hakkai was in character - BUT - and this is just my opinion -
he isnt the sort who would hold his anger and force sanzo to go see the floating heads

he would have clobbered sanzo but not killed him. he owes sanzo his life
this is assuming all the events in the anime/manga hold

as for kanzeon, looking at canon, she has always been after sanzo to show life
he was bored in heaven and terribly repressed on earth
and well, his main objective was stopping the resurrection of gyumaoh -
and whatever else develop didnt really matter.
i'm just saying sanzo wouldnt have gotten a slap from her or the floating heads
they would probably focus on the objective they gave him
and this is something i dont remember, how far where they went all this happened
you might have established this in the a/n or the first chapter - but i cant remember
so it would have been difficult and a little foolhardy for hakkai to go back
surely they had traveled a long way already

sanzo would have been lectured by hakkai... as he was getting beat up
everyone agrees - an angry hakkai - is a dangerous hakkai.
sanzo knows that.

i didnt know this was going to be a sanzo-gojyo story.
(i have a strong 393 preference)
and well, sanzo attracted to gojyo - male or female - is something i dont see
although clearly gojyo is the opposite of sanzo, and there is a saying that opposites attract. so it can happen

but i can see a gojyo attraction to sanzo - sanzo has a beautiful face,
and gojyo, being himself - cant help but be attracted to beautiful faces
male or female. i think he does fully appreciate the human body.
however, going by the anime/manga - i think he does want love - the kind that stays
it is not articulated, but it is there.

so i have some difficulty accepting the premise.
but assuming he does attempt rape - and well, gojyo's provoked sanzo a lot
but it doesnt excuse the attempt
and hakkai is sensitive about rape, it being tied up with kanan
(again, if canon holds in your story)

aside from those 3 objections (hakkai going to the floating heads, and the slap on sanzo from the meeting,and that they were able to return - surely they had gone a long way already - otherwise, sanzo may have asked for a gojyo replacement when that happened), your story unfolds as it should -

hakkai "warning" sanzo, and sanzo has to apologize (i agree with that)

as for the sanzo attraction to gojyo - all i can say is - it is possible.

as for other details
goku - sweet as he is - would never let hakkai beat up sanzo - sanzo is his sun
i wonder if this is why you had hakkai march up to the floating heads
but i dont think that march back would have been possible as i have said earlier
and hakkai's rage would have required a physical outlet - which is why i think he would have hit sanzo (even just once)

btw. i quite enjoy the music you've been mentioning. they're oldies but goodies
as the expression says. ella fritzgerald has a wonderful voice. you are the rare author(ess) who quotes oldies in the music. more often than not i read music by new bands/singers so your music quotes are refreshingly classic without being highbrow.

I really was hoping for Hakkai to beat the crap out of Sanzo...then maybe take him to see the aspects. :P

Excellent chapter as usual! I am so glad I started reading this story.

Oh yeah, definitely love Hakkai's reaction. He *became* a demon due to actions taken in rage after Kannon was stolen from him and raped. He will *not* take kindly to someone forcing themselves on a woman. I'm kind of surprised that Gojyo hasn't explored his body at all. Is he afraid of the new sensations? Or that he'll awaken a thirst for sex that he won't be able to easily quench? Sounds like he was repressing a desire for men back when he was still male. Glad I could make you giggle.

Okay...THAT was NOT the way I was hoping Sanzo would get over his 'Gojyo is now a woman' faze. GAH! What was he thinking! Oh, yeah, burbon. :P You wrote that part amazingly well, by the way, even if it DID manage to make me hate Sanzo (for a little while at least). That head butt Gojyo used...that move ROCKED!

OMG....*shivers* Hakkai...Sanzo, you are in for the shit now.

Oh, and I have now read the Hakkai/Sanzo moment like...three or four times. *shivers again*

That is a wonderfully well written moment.

I like how Goku's treating Gojyo and how their dynamic shifted. Now that they're not two males testing each other for pack dominance, they can relax between their friendly sparring routines. If Kougaiji does try to take advantage of Gojyo, I think he'd better hope that Douku never finds out or he'll beat his head in. I don't think Kougaiji would force her though, more do his best to seduce her. That'd be funny, seeing Gojyo on the receiving end of a suave lady's man. I'm guessing from your final comment that you're thinking about delving into the sadistic trope of menstruation. As terribly fun as that would be, it's my understanding that the half-breed children are sterile, so there'd be no reason for Gojyo's body to go through menstruation. Unless of course that was part of the nature of the curse. Effectively 'You shall live as a woman and know all of the pain and suffering of being female.' Thanks for the update, can't wait for more.
