Wow awesome story. I really hope you make a sequel. I like the open ended way you ended this story, but would really like to see what happen as they are on the run. Not may stories tell you what happens after. It would be neat to see how L and Light/Kira face the changes of Mello, Near and Waterai (spelling?). I would be cool. Also you said you were worried about the traveling around the world thing, but you could have it that L had a secert Layer built years and years ago that not even Waterai knew about. It would be somewhere remote. L and Light/Kira are smart enough to make it look like the were at a lot of different places they weren't. Also with the news of how Kira and L are people would be looking for them. Some Kira groupies might even start to dress like Light making it hard for the police to find the right Kira. That way you wouldn't have to worry about moving Light/Kira and L all over the planet. Even could even have them do so continent jumping before going to L's sercert hide away. L needs to pick stuff up from different place anyway right?

As for your question I kind of have to answers. First let me say that in the Death Note I watched Kira and Light seemed to be one in the same. In your story they are two seperate selves, which I like too. I'm not anti-Kira, but I am pro-Light and pro-L.

I would really like for Light to gain some control back. Now that Light knows he is Kira he could fight a mental battle with Kira ending with them taking turns being in control. It would defenitly make things interesting if L started having sex with Light and ended up climaxing with Kira. Lol. That would be nose bleed worthy.

Anyway back to the question. If I was a Kira supporter and heard that Kira and the famous L were on the run together I would support them. I would probably be a little suspicious of L's reasoning for being with my Kame but I would help them if they asked me. I might even think that L had seen the light (no pun intended) and was a follower of Kira now too.

If I was against Kira I might be royally pissed and think that Kira was controlling L or the L was already dead and Kira just wanted to confuse the world with that lie because he had lost. If I was cocky I might even state that Kira was a chicken.

If I was once a Kira follower, but decided to change side after hearing that I would probably think Kira was a coward too. I would most likely be disappointed that Kira was only a man and that I had been a fool for believing him to be a Kame. I would also either be pissed and be willing to help catch Kira or get depressed and commit suicide (extreme cases only) I might even try and sway other Kira followers into thinking my way and tell them that Kira was a false Kame. That would result in my ass being kicked. Lol.

If I was Misa I would think that L was just trying to steal my boyfriend. If I was Light's father I would be royally pissed that I was refused the right to kill my son then kill myself.

Umm... that about all I think. Oh, as Yaoi facfiction reader my response is that since they are going to be alone a lot then there should be...Hot Yaoi Smexyness! But I think my personal opinion is byeist.___ ;P

Anyway like I said before loved your story. I hope some of my rubblings are use full to you if you decide to right the sequel.

This is undoubtably the BEST DN fic I have ever read. When I first started reading it I was a little worried about where the plot was heading, but you never disappointed me and I give you kudos!!! Keep up the good work and may L share his cake with you!! Please update soon!!

In the anime the rule said that if someone misspelled a name four times *on purpose* the human who wrote the name will die. was it different in the manga?
I can't believe L went as far as this to save Light...

Wow! Exciting chapter! I absolutely LOVE the fact that someone has finally used the 'misspell rule'. It's just such a blatant out for L that I was surprised that it wasn't commonly used - so thank you for picking up on it!

"or, in Matsuda's case, a tiny girly yelp followed by an embarrassed laugh" This made me laugh for a long time - such a Matsuda thing to do - I could completely see it happening!

Really liked the chapter, it was quite heart-wrenching at the end, when L was saying goodbye to Watari and just, the whole surrogate father thing and that he'd never see him ever again and it was all because of Light and- oh! *wipes tears* Really sad but really well done :)

And thank YOU for your advertisement of my video! I wasn't aware you liked it so much! I would say I'm quite proud of it - I'm currently working on another DN video (or three actually) but can't decide which one I want to work on more :) And thanks again for all your reviews on 'Shades'. Light is extremely violent. XD I had no idea. All the "first Kira" "second Kira" "third Kira" confused the hell out of me at first, but I think I kind of get it now. But "third Kira"?

O_o; Does Misa really talk that... childishly? Act like a little girl like that? I always pictured her as more... I don't know, fangirly, but serious, not all "He's Misa's Light! ♥" What is Misa, a singer? An actress? It sounds from the story like she's some sort of celebrity or something, having a manager and going by MisaMisa.

Aizawa makes me think of Gravitation. XD Rapist asshole bastard. >_< !!!

ANYWAY. Except for the parts that confused me, it was cool. :D I like that L is escaping with Light after securing his own safety with the Death Notes... Nice. Much better than dying.

Awe I love this story! I really hope that Light comes back and Kira is gone. I'm a sucker for happy endings, or at least happier endings then L dieing and Light being shot several times. Anyway, this is a great story. I love how you kept everyone in character. I like your writing style too. I can't wait to read more. Hope you update soon.

Okay, and here I thought this story was good before...but Near/Mello vs L/Kira -? That's quite possible the most brilliant idea anyone has ever had, and I'm fairly jealous that I didn't think of it first. Damn. Damn, damn, damn. But good on you, and I hope you're quicker about updating, because I'm seriously loving this story, -faints - You should think about posting it on Fanfiction.net, you'll get LOADS of reviews....just a suggestion.

Great, wonderful, perfect, awesome original story. I'd thought, up until now, it was just another (although well written) L/Raito story, and this AU is just bloody perfect! Please continue!
