It seems as if the very best writers on AFF seem to all enjoy Death Note.
You write very well, you seem to capture both L's and Light's personality perfectly. I am very impressed, and I have to say, cannot wait for the next update!

First time reading this story. I must say i like it alot. Very intriguing storyline and the dialogue is interesting.

Haven't had time to read the 4th chapter yet since I'm in a hurry right now but I really wanted to review chapter 3 anyway in the meantime since a few things stood out at me. I loved Light and L's conversation, especially the bit about L wanting to be killed by someone he deemed a worthy opponent. That felt very characteristic of him and I enjoyed their interaction.

And you're completely right about L's portrayal; I liked those first few shots of him in the series and manga best myself, and his appearance and habits seemed to change significantly once he became fully immersed in the Kira case. I like that you've brought that original part of him back, with a plausible explanation that demonstrates the impact the case is having on everyone's lives, especially in ways that we don't really give much thought to otherwise.

I don't know where you're heading either, but I like it and I hope you continue! The invisible poker was a pretty interesting idea, and Light and L's constant bickering is fun.
