I've been avoiding reading this pairing because I didn't think I'd like it... but I read the other 2 fics in this Saimono section of AFF, and wanted to give yours a try. And I'm glad. :D Very well written! They didn't seem out of character to me at all.

I did notice a typo: you said "Kouyuu’s shark intake of breath" instead of "sharp."
It is absolutely criminal that there aren't more fics for this fandom! I hope you are still thinking of a sequel... =]

Oh this was totally lovely. Such a shame that this anime does not get more attention. Kouyuu and Shuurei are a favorite pairing of mine and there is precious little written about them. Please continue with this wonderful story.
