Yeah... pure fluff... but it's something. I'm wondering though where this fluff is going to lead. Another twist in the story? Or is it going to be wrapped up and tied with a bow?

I can't say how glad I am that you allow unsigned reviews, because my computer is being a pain and signing in would have been a nightmare! ...but I would have done it anyway 'cause I've seen how much you enjoy reviews and, well...I figured it was only fair that I give you one.

This concept is an interesting one to say the least. The idea that Light ((forgive me, somehow, despite watching the subbed version, I've always heard his name as Light (well...I've heard the O at the end, but hey, Ed's name on FMA is pronounced Edo...)) would wind up an art gallery owner in a world where L chose to be an artist lends to the concept of desteny between the two...that such an obscure intrest would turn into the lifes work of these two men who never seemed interested. I have to wonder, to some degree, what inspired you to envision L as an artist...but then again eccentricity and art do seem to go hand in hand.
This story is interesting enough that even my roomate admitted it sounded interesting when I told her about it...and she is generally dispassionate about all things fanfiction. So congradulations.
Thanks for the great way to spend an evening...and for the minutes of entertainment you'll provide me in the weeks/months to come.

wow... actually reviewing. this is honestly one of my favourite au's currently in progress. the opening of the crate in chapter 5 makes me laugh every single time. and the tentacle line in chapter 12 made me have to muffle my laughter in the nearest pillow. i swear i cackled m'self to tears. in any case, i just had to take my guess at the image source for chapter 15. (which, btw, had me gushing and squeeing about how wonderfully fluffy and porny it was. *laughs* cooing over the two of them makes me happy) my guess is it's from the l/light doujinshi game "bound prince" (my first guess) OR from the "bound prince" book. which also had me squeeing. (and if i'm wrong, i look forward to finding out which ones you -were- thinking of so i may go drool over new pics... ^_~) so yes, love the fic. love the imagery (the paintbrush bit while looking at the paintings in chapter 15 was just HOT) and i really do find both l and light to be IC, for the most part... i love how they interact! there's just something fun about pervy!L... ^_^ wonderful job and definitely one i rec to my friends for a fun and good read!

This made my day so much better! After the internet crapping out while I was at work yesterday, I spent six hours today fixing it (hours which I had planned to spend finishing writing...!)-- but when it finally started working again, I checked AFF and you'd updated...! That made the whole day turn around, seriously. Thank you...! L and Raito were sappy but cute-- and how you write their interactions felt real somehow, very solid.

The fact that L made a whole crate of paintings just for laughs-- seriously...! I can picture it though. And Raito wondering when he sleeps-- never! Yet another secret he hasn't learned yet. (Quite looking forward to when Raito learns that L has a camera fetish-- and what's in the Mysterious Room!) This chapter feels like an intermission to me-- like they've met, they got to this point, and L's finally gotten past Raito's general discomfort with sex-type-things, and now the rest of the plot will start! I'm totally not knowing what to expect, so I'm looking forward to it. I just remembered Raito being afraid the truck would crash and spill paintings-- I had to stop reading after that for a bit because I was snickering too hard at the mental image. Raito has such wonderful paranoias. First tentacles, then a crashing truck!

*glanced at your reviews out of curiosity* I've skimmed there a few times-- and weirdly enough I've seen a few people prompting you to bring in Teru. Was it my imagination, or didn't you already do that??? He was the dark-haired guy who was bidding against "Ryuuzaki" so furiously for the naked!Raito painting. I don't remember if you mentioned his name, but it seemed pretty obvious... correct?

I wanna say that the paintings are from "Bound Prince"...but I could be wrong. On another note (heh bad pun that was unintentional)since I'm a total sap, I loved the chapter. It was, I guess, disgustingly adorable. Keep up the good work. Raito's too cute some times.

I've been following this story for several weeks now and I'm sorry that I never reviewed! Absolute AUs usually aren't my thing - I find that they often stray too far from what made the original series what it was, and change the characters in the process. But there is something incredibly familiar in this, and despite not being about vigilantism and justice, this still feels like Death Note. Light feels like Light, and L, oh man, L is so L. There is still the element of secrecy. Light basks in publicity, acting to society's norms while still gaining the admiration and respect of others, but inside he has his own secrets - instead of mass murder, he is hiding his homosexuality. And L is the same enigmatic figure who hides his face and identity but still represents a famed brilliance. Their interactions are equally sneaky. L is luring Light just like he does in the series, and Light (at least toward the beginning of the story) is trying to stand his ground. Your writing is very intricate and nice, and I really do like how you're portraying their relationship. It was a process. You didn't simply jump into the sex, but I like how you hinted at intimacy in L's paintings - one of my favorite parts when L sends his first shipment of Light inspired artwork, heh! And it seems like such an L thing to do, sending an entire crate of erotic artwork of Light simply as a joke - everything that man does is on the large scale!

When I read your description of the bondage art, I immediately thought of Orange Pekoe's 'Bound Prince' (Kinbaku Ouji) series, the one where... well, the one like your description, haha! Was that the one you were inspired by?

Hhehe and now either L or Light need to get into some sort of big trouble. It's a perfect plot twist but it's your fic so I'll let you decide. ^_^. I seriously had no clue you did DN fics too I've read all your trigun ones so far and I love them. I have to finish mine but I'm stuck T^T. Oh well I'll think of somehting...it may involve Meryl being hit by a sedan...maybe.. <_<...>_> *doesn't like Meryl* Oh well keep it going I'm enjoying it ^_^.
