yet another great chapter from you. :) I don't think that most of the stories here are being abandoned... I think most of the authors usually have busy lives and such. occasionally I do catch them updating...

I normally avoid WIPs, but the summary looked interesting, so I checked it out. While I'm disappointed that I now have to wait for more, I'm still happy that I read it. The story itself is VERY interesting. Also, that note and the end of the last chapter, about how some people feel it's just a retelling? Yeah, those people aren't paying attention.

For one thing, Kira seems to be unable to alter the time of death. The absence of the Death Note itself changes the series just by not being there. It doesn't look like Kira can use a method other than a heart attack. Even if Raito had mentioned Raye to Kira, there's no way for him to kill Raye AND the other agents. Ryuk was working neither for nor against Raito, but Raito is doing the exact opposite.

Unless you bring another poltergeist in, you appear to have eliminated the option of Misa-Misa appearing. Or at least, appearring with the same role she had in canon. Also completely changes the Yotsuba Arc, if that happens at all. And the bet only lasts for a year. And then the additional problem of hoping people will notice one thing about him, but not a different thing.

This is a REALLY good story! I don't get to say that very often. Normally, the really good fanfics are interesting and enjoyable to the point where I can't coherently say what I'm feeling, but they're just mindless entertainment. This is enjoyable in a different way. It's been a while since I've read a fic that actually made me think, and I've forgotten how nice that is.

I don't suppose you've been uploading this on another site as well? Fanfiction.net or LiveJournal? I'm just curious, because I don't come here very often, and I was hoping I could find it at a place I do check frequently.

Anyway, I really liked it, and I hope to see more soon.
