I'm not used to this website. Reviewing on it feels strange. But after reading this fic and it's prequel, I have to tell you I loved reading this. I can't believe I hadn't come upon this before, although I know why I didn't. I'm so glad I finally read it though!
So I loved how Matt is prone to panic, I loved how Mello and he are dysfunctional yet how well they work together. I loved Roger and I cried at the last chapter because it felt like he was at peace with himself. And because I was happy for him and Matt. And I'm prone to tears this day too!
About the prequel, I loved the violence. I told you about their relationship and how I liked it but I quite liked Matt's cyberfriends too.
You said you had doubts about the sex scenes, because it was practical rape. I loved reading them because you wrote them as what they were. Matt crying no means no was one of my favourite moment. It's not like you ever made it look romantic or anything! So I loved those scenes. I also loved how we could see all those things they wouldn't tell the other. Sometimes, you'd let us see into their thoughts but the way you depicted their tone, their body language, made it so that it was never exactly a surprise. More precision and validation. That is awesome.
Anyway thank you for the stories. I had a wonderful moment reading them.

I'm glad for this chapter. There is one chapter I didn't like in the prequel. It was the one when Matt got rid of Aimee. It was unfair. She deserved a better good bye. I'm glad she finally got it.
Well, that's all for now, I'm not sure you'll even read this PM! Thank you for the chapter (is it 3000 words long ?)

Wow! I'm finding loads of comments that I didn't know were there. -.- I wish there was some kind of alert on these things.
Melissa:
I think that was quite mild coming from Matt. I think it's the closest he gets to compassion. LOL
Nine Lives:
I find Matt and Aimee's friendship intriguing. It's all on Aimee's side, yet Matt did lean on her to watch his flat and pay his rent for him during 'My Own Way'. Plus there are all these hints that they've been hanging out for at least six months before Mello came back. I just imagine that in an AU somewhere, where Matt was actually straight, they might have got together and Mello would have returned to find Aimee pregnant or something. About the only thing that Aimee and Matt have in common is that they live on the same estate and both take a tremendous amount of drugs.
I do like Aimee though. I understand her. We're both common as muck, working class British.

"Nevertheless it's a notice to quit over non-payment of rent."
Aimee's chin rose. "Do you think it's because I'm living with Bruce?"
Matt shook his head. "I think, personally, all things considered, it's probably because you didn't pay your rent."
Oh Matt! Always a card!
And excellent fic! I must admit, I always was curious about what happened to Aimee. I do feel bad for her-- trying so had to be friends with someone as aloof and apathetic as Matt. :( Poor girl.

Poor Aimee. Dunno why but I like the girl. She's so naive... and Matt's a bit of an ass with her, but well, i woulnd't want her to be aroung him all the time either. Specially now that she admited she likes Matt....

Mello: My version of Roger and Matt have a very complex relationship, but yes, it does skate very close to being father and son. It's just that Roger is crap at being a father and Matt is crap at being a son. And if you're going to do that with Matt, at least have the decency to film it and send it to the fangirls. TYVM. 8D
Nine Lives: *grin* Harpie him. :p

Haha aww Mello arguing with that poor woman was cute <33 (i know, my concept of cute is a bit odd ^^U)
And I also find so lovely that Mello acts possesive towards Matt. It wakes me suspect he's not very sane, but that's adorable (in Mello!)
You're amazing.

MEEEELLLLLLLOOOOOO!!!! I'm so sorry, I just accidentally removed your review. My mouse was randomly on the 'remove review' button and someone made me jump IRL. Crap. *kneels at Mello's feet begging forgiveness*
I was busy getting all warm and fluffy inside, because you were saying that you're going to write more and that I'd inspired it. Yes, please, please do! In fact, I'm going over to your thing now to see if you have already.

Ohai Mello. (The REAL Mello? Oh Wow! *is honoured* :p) Thank you for inviting me to go and read your work, I did and I'm glad I did. Thank you also for your kind words here.
Yes, there is a sequel; in fact, this is now the first in a series. *blush* There are only two ('It Matters' and 'All The Way Here') in the public domain, but I've currently written the first three chapters of the fifth in the series. 'Poisoned Rationality', 'Watari' (name may change) and 'The Mario Clause' will all eventually be here, but aren't at the moment. When they do turn up, I'll probably announce it on the LJ MelloMatt community (http://community.livejournal.com/mellomatt/). As the block is with 'PR' (I've got spoilers in there for another writer's work, so that needs to come out first), then all three of the unpublished stories should come out together.
Thanks again for reading 'It Matters', I'm grinning like a grinning thing over here.
