What you've already written is great and you will gain more experience through writing more. It's not a case of who's the better writer; the winners are those who engage their readers and entertain them with a wonderful story. You have ticked both of those boxes thus far. You are already winning. If your current position is great writing, then where will you be in a few chapters' time? I'm into your story now and I need more chapters. >:(

Thank you very much. I've recently found someone arguing that Jeevas sounds like a Greek name, though again there's no evidence that it actually is. From what I can gather, there really is no language in the world where Jeevas would exist. The Sanskrit has Jeeva, but the plural wouldn't be Jeevas. So Spanish he is. :D

Morgie was the first to really highlight Mello's Catholicism and it was that which inspired much of what followed. I've since been back to the manga and can't believe that I missed it the first time round. It's definitely written into the original.

I envisaged their sado-masochism as both of them fully engaged. Mello can definitely be a bit of a git independently of Matt (see footballs being killed in people's faces and small children dragged up the corridor by their hair, in Wammy's House for a start). Then you have to look at Matt's psychology. The Wammy House doesn't produce balanced people. They all have their idiosyncracies, but they also all have a fiercely competitive streak, just see L (with Raito) and Mello and Near with each other for that. Then you get Matt. The whole pattern should have him in absolute competition with Mello and Near, but instead he's helping Mello. Nowhere does it say, 'Ohai Mello, I'm watching this wall for you for six days, but it's only so I can catch Kira and prove I'm the best.' He just does it. That, to me, suggests someone who has emerged from the Wammy House either extremely well-balanced or in a self-effacing relationship with Mello.

First of all, I remembered that indeed, there are some words in spanish with double 'e', but they're all verbs. Examples: Leer (to read), creer (to believe or to have faith). Jeevas would be a weird name in spanish, anyway ^^U but I liked the idea of Matt and Mello speaking Spanish so yay for Spanish Matt ;)

And now, to the real review. I've just finished reading. It's one of the longest fanfics I've read lately (i usually go for one shots) but it was more than worthy, each chapter. You were able to fill the holes in the plot, those spaces that left me wondering what were they doing at that moment, and specially, I loved that you gave an reason for them to not kidnap Raito instead of Takada, cause it's been bothering me for ages hehe. I know, it's just cause it was Near who had to win, but I liked that you gave a real reason. Also, it was lovely the use of small details you did, as those mannequins we see randomly thrown on the floor, and you assumed they were what Matt and Mello shot at. Very good.

You're Mello is very well displayed, very IC, in my opinion, and incredibly sexy. Also, I never liked Mello as a Catholic, or believer in any way, but you did such a good work that I'm changing my mind about it a little. It adds one more layer to the character, and makes him suffer and self-torture in an interesting way.

Last chapters made me wonder if it was Mello who was a sadist, orMatt, being so submissive and masochist, who pushed Mello to being like that. I think it's called "topping from the bottom", right? I0m not sure about it, cause in one hand, Matt looks like he really asks for it, he really enjoys it. In the other, it may be just cinditioning, since Mello loves to make it clear that Matt's his. Or it may be easier and it's the two of them who like it, and they just match together.

Matt, you made such a good job with this character. I like to think of him like that, like the tender spot for Mello, the thing that keeps his sanity,as you said. That's why I love this pairing so much. Being a Mello fan, I want him to finally have something of his own, cause it's sad that he was always the loser, the one who left, the one who died, the one who never had anything. Matt, portrayed like this, makes Mello finally have something. And it's that what makes Matt such an important character (for a 15 panels-character, I mean), and makes their relationship different form any other in DN. I can think of them, as the only character with real feelings and bounds. Yeah, I'm aware it's all fanom, but I like thinking of it like that.

I don't want to write a Bible with a comment LOL so I'll stop here. Just thank you very much for writing this.
