Okay, so, I LOVE this story. I love all of your stories, and just like all of the others, Its wonderful and beautifully written. There were a few times where it got really hard to read and I had to stop for a moment, even more so with Motive and Mayhem, but its just so real. I suppose it wouldn't be such a great story if it didn't have some sort of effect on people.
Hopefully whatever you have planned for Near and Mello will be a little bit healthier (BDSM relationships can be very rewarding when both paties are willing). I hate to see poor Melllo treated so badly. It'd be nice if the poor kid could have a happy ending like L and Light! No matter what, I know you wont disappoint. You never do.
I do have one tiny little issue, and please don't take it the wrong way but, Matt was KIRA. Why would they let him out of prison after just a few years? I mean, he'd been a good boy and all but being the dude with the killer notebook is a pretty serious thing...Its just kind of weird to think someone got off so easy for murder, even with L's influence. And L was fully aware of Matt's manipulation of Mello. He knows it fucked the kid up royally. I'm not sure I get why he'd want to help him at all. Again, PLEASE don't take all of this the wrong way, I'm not trying to criticize, just kind of confused.
ANYWAY, Keep up the good work! I always look forward to more!

First of all, apologies for getting your name wrong (in the previous story review). I'd been listening to New Model Army as I read the story and the lead singer is Justin Sullivan. -.-

I've just read to the end of chapter eight of this story and I gasped out loud at the implications of the collar's manipulation. My little fangirl heart wants Matt to reform and for him and Mello to get back together; but I always see it as the mark of a good story if you can be moved in some way. The events in this story, particularly chapter 8, moved me.

I do love how fanfiction can move the same story into different directions. Your stories are 180 degrees away from mine, in the power politics, but they both work. I still want to take your Mello and put him somewhere very safe, where he can eat chocolate and be safely cuddled.

I'm extremely excited to see where this story goes. I bet Matt won't be too please when (if) he finds out about Near and Mello.

So, first a quick disagreement with kayla to say it's pretty obvious Mello would go back to Matt in that situation. I don't know how *healthy* it would be, but he would. On the other hand, L and Light have pulled it off, so why can't they? (And that would be my personal vote. But I have a bit of a thing for Mello/Matt.)

Second. This is an utterly lovely story, as were all three of the previous ones in the story. I've just read through all of them yesterday and today. Hoping for an update, though! It's been a while, and it makes me worry you aren't going to finish the story! Hopefully that's not the case.

This is such a great story. You've got everyone in character and you've made Matt very believable, as well.

matt's disgusting. he's a perverted, demented freak. anybody who does things like he did to mello should be locked up for the rest of their lives. why the hell would mello ever even THINK about visiting him in prison? he wouldn't. not if he any any common sense.
