A good length for a fic like this. You described things in good detail, as well. Golds actions, though wrong, felt justified considering Heidis attitude and his own shit luck over his recent events.
It is interesting that he would not just leave her out as she was once he was done, however. Does he expect her to not report the incident, eventually? I know its merely a story, and not to be taken by real life standards, but it was still a bad decision on his part.
