Now let's have none of this business about you sucking in terms of word count. Never judge yourself by the standards of others; you will either fall short of them or exceed them so embarrassingly that the comparison will be meaningless.
What I'm trying to say is that we all write differently, and every story, whether of the debilitating length of Equilibrium or the succinctness of Northern Star, makes the lives of their readers infinitely more rich than they would be had the stories not existed at all.

I'm lovin' this. I like the character summaries and whatnot at the end too. Gives a good idea and wraps up the going ons during. Tasty.
Write more soon.

"Cypress made some phone calls to some cousins from the old country, and the man had vanished without a trace."
I had to stop reading for a moment, I was laughing so hard. Now in my mind he looks like Marlon Brando in The Godfather.
Seriously, good to see some activity in an otherwise dead section. Most of the regular updaters have slumped off, it seems. Working on Equilibrium here, but I may have to write two chapters to one-up your intended one-upsmanship...

Bring on the power-armored space marines!
Oh, and whatever else is in chapter 5. mostly excited about the space marines, though.

Well this is... Pretty awesome, I must admit. I didn't know what to think after the second chapter, but I really want to see how the two worlds interact when Northern Star gets there.
I still can't shake the 40k vibe that the whole thing gives off though, and I love it all the more for it. Wouldn't that be quite the crossover!
As for the story in the pokemon world so far, well it seems pretty well done so far, but I think your real innovation is the extraterrestrial bit; no offense, but I haven't seen a whole lot of groundbreaking stuff there yet, although the genetic similarity thing sets it all up quite nicely.
Definitely a story I'll keep an eye on!

PS- thanks to Skyler for the link. I hate Google for blacklisting AFF... (Or is it that AFF has the whole site tagged with no-bot tags or a robots.txt?)

I'd like to maintain that this made my reading list after the happenings of the third chapter.
But to be honest I don't think I could go without adding it after the Immortal Emperor of Mankind said "canoodling".

Your characters just seem very human is all. They're enjoyable to read. Dominic letting the chef's wife die rather than playing the hero or inexplicably being able to talk the man down was probably the selling point for me. You just don't see that in too many stories.

Aw, we love you too, Ausare, we're just too nervous to say it! A few bookkeeping items:
--Religion: From your description, it seems like Jirachism and Arceanism are parallels for Christianity and Judaism, respectively. The gospel according to Mesprit, ha. So Kanto is predominantly Jirachian, while the Sevii Islands are mostly Arcean? Should make for some good conflict.
--The question that the answer to that first question is...why did humans leave at all?
--Keep the voyeurism coming. You may be on a fairly well-worn road as far as the Pokemon involved, but if you can make it work, hey, more power to you. The writers are all but being asked to do a Gallade/female Trainer story in that thread on 151chan, so it doesn't seem like there'll be any shortage of Ralts family lemon anytime soon. (Hell, I might do that story.)
--Where's that walk-on cameo of mine you mentioned? Man, I was looking forward to that. Professor Bayberry popping in or something, that'd make my day.
So we're all eagerly awaiting Chapter 4, but don't burn yourself out trying to finish. That's no fun.

Wait, I gots a theory.
Chapter 2 shows the planet humans are originally from. If this is a massive spoiler, feel free to delete it.
As for my massive chapter-crankage, I don't honestly know. I was just born to write. There is a diatribe that goes along with this, but it's only available on request or audiobook.

Okey, a great read. I was confused a little there, began to wonder it was the right chapter or some other story.
For some odd reason I began to think about Oblivion
