First off, I would like to say I am a bit biased. XelLina is one of my favorite pairings, but I am highly dissapointed in both the amount as well as the quality of the current XelLina fics. Either they are childishly written, OC / absolute non-canon compatible (I think that something is canon compatible if an author develops the canon characters to fit the end goal of the fic), over the top, or nice but on permanent hiatus.
That said, I think this fic is nice. It is well written, clear (apart from the spells) and the characters are mostly IC. Background story, reasoning and a little logical fluff. The fic itself is a wonderfully satisfying One-Shot, but would probably do well as the basis for a multiple-chapter story as well. In any case, thank you very much for a good read!

I may be the only one to review, but I love the way you have started this story. X/L is one of my favorite pairings, and it's funny, because I was scheming with a little plot bunny about somthing like this when I came across it. I really want to read more, so I hope you decide to continue it sometime in the near future!
