So, this is less of a review as it is an inquiry of the fan base. I was an old beta reader for skyler back in like 2015 and I know for a fact that the author wrote up to 34 chapters, I having read and reviewed them. Although I cannot find them anywhere, I still have my copies (I found the flash drive again). Does anyone know where else skyler posted from? Like a different site, I know it wasnt this site that I orginally found this story. I was wonder if anyone, just anyone knew where else skyler posted? Skyler hasn't sent me anything in a verly long time, I'm starting to wonder if the author just gave up and dropped off the radar. (A damn shame if thats the case, it's a very good story)
If you ever come back to it, there will be at least one person you know will be happy, and I'm certain there are more who simply haven't said the same. If you do ever come back you could try posting it on Archive of Our Own to get a wider audience.
Wherever you are, and whatever you're doing, I wish you the best. This story will always have a special place in my heart.
Anyway, the Arceus myth doesn't really make sense.
I loved the romance between Mightyena and Gallade last time, so I'm glad to see that's back. I just hope you don't have Gallade take on Zangoose's old role from last time ): I do so like the character and the Mightyena/Gallade pairing.
Anyway. Update soon plz.
Your loyal fan,
Dave.
A while ago (Feb 3rd to be exact) when you sent out that email to those of us on the Equilibrium mailing list, you mentioned, among other things, that your hard drive died and you lost all copies and drafts of your stories and related content, and the map of Sedera. You also mentioned "props to Nona" for saving as much as they did.
I sent a reply the next day and I'm not sure if you received it or not (I never got an answer, and I never resent it because I prefer not to bug the author. After all, I'd hate to get random emails myself from people talking about my work.), but I was asking exactly how much Nona had saved. I looked on your new profile on AFF and I noticed that you reposted the first 10 chapters of Equilibrium and nothing else. I did mention in my reply that I have copies saved of Only a Week and all chapters you posted on AFF for Storm and Equilibrium (with ch41 of act7 being the latest entry).
Now, I apologize for being quite frank, as it's not really my business to psychoanalyze, but judging from the amount of what I saw posted, and over the period of about 2 months seeing the whole thing being erased and rewritten, I don't think Nona saved a whole lot. If it were me, and I had lost all but at least 10 chapters of a 70% completed story, then I'd probably use the material from those 10 chapters and my creativity and start the long process again from scratch. I think it's a great and commendable effort, but it's really a far cry from the wonderfully written series that just spontaneously went missing from AFF (What's with that anyway? Did AFF lose your info during the site update/scheduled maintenance? Are the stories linked to people's hard drives? But I digress...).
Again, I apologize for being blunt/possibly overstepping my boundaries/seriously misjudging the whole situation. I don't usually go out loud with a message like this (or even quite so honestly/passionately about it), but I love this story and the other parts of its series. It's the best thing I've read on AFF since Sinners, which I've completely given up on being finished, if even updated. I hate to see the whole thing tossed aside and redone because one has given up hope of getting back to where they were. I'd much rather see it finished as it was, and I feel that I should really stop being silent on my viewpoint of the situation.
I have all the files linked here (http://www.mediafire.com/?h7ad7s4w43n5b) if you want them, but it's your call. Thank you for your time.
