I have had the pleasure to read all chapters over the week end and I immediately fell in love with your poetic writing style. I am very curious as to how you will continue and I'm looking forward to the next update. Thank you for this wonderful story.

Shit, girl done her research!
EXCELLENT chapter. One of the things I love about this fandom is how much authors have to work with when it comes to fleshing out Sebastian and any demon OCs as far as demonic folklore and terminology are concerned... and you took full advantage of that here. Well done. This is one of your best chapters, and it definitely unfolds in a way that holds up to the quality of the rest of the story (i.e. surprise ending, self-sacrificing Sebastian) however, I felt like some of Sebastian's lines should have been said from a more distant, less suddenly-intimate, way, especially when he was telling Azazel that his "friends" were the other people at the manor. I mean, even though I totally agree that he WOULD consider Bard, Mey-rin, and Finny more of his comrades than another demon, I, personally, couldn't see him ever admitting it out loud, especially as straight-forward as he did.
Other than that one little thing, I loved this chapter. I especially loved the ending (Yay, no shouta sex afterall!... maybe). I'm glad you didn't decide to have Ciel remain in the alternate plane with Sebastian and then just have them both, miraculously, come out fairly unscathed. That would've been super cheesy.
Absolutely cannot wait for the next chapter!

I just wanted to say that these last couple of chapters have been amazing. I can really see the effort that you put into the story. I hope you will forgive me for expressing my hopes that you don't time skip, however. I honestly think that might kill it for me.
I also wanted to let you know that I've done a rudimentary review of Devilish Impulses, which has been posted on my blog on DeviantArt. You can find it at thezoni.deviantart.com, if you're curious. Thanks, and keep up the good work.

I've been following your story since perhaps chapter 12 and I can honestly say that every single word you write has me wanting more and more. I've read alot of fan fiction in the past and this is the first that has actually had me crying, laughing, and everything else. Whenever Carsten took Ciel away from Sebastian my stomach muscles were fighting and I was bawling haha.
Ofcourse having read the story for this long I truely hope that the next chapter will be phenomenal like I knew it will be with you writing it.
Thank you for giving me something the look toward to every Wednesday :)

It gets better and better! Everything is out in the open now but Sebastian will die... or will he? Can't wait for more!

Oh, man, I almost cried like a hundred times! This was so good; it had a really epic, cinematic feel to it; and I love how Carsten showed up to save the day! Didn't see that coming! But what will happen now??? I'm very excited to find out!!!

OMG! This is so good. It's taken me a minute to get through with my demanding boyfriend never giving me time alone to be with my computer but I've caught up, while also relating to a good friend who is also a fan of Kuroshitsuji all the juicy details, I now want to scream in anticipation for the next chapter.

Sorry I haven't reviewed in, like, three weeks! School is kind of kicking my ass...
Anyhow, I love where you've taken this story, even if it hasn't been in the direction I thought you would (Cleveland Street). I was scared for a bit though when it seemed you might have been finishing it in chapter 31 there. I mean, it would make sense in a kind of Code Geass way if Sebastian was destroyed after attaching all those chains to himself, but I could also see you having him live and pushing the story beyond that. I guess I'm just not able to imagine what-in-the-hell could happen AFTER all of this. But I have no doubt that you will be able to. Keep up the excellent work!

Interesting that these forces of balance are quite literal, and are represented by chains. I wasn't certain at first that this was meant to be so literal, and then worried a bit about how it could be pulled off, but I really like the idea; it's reminiscent of the strange anachronistic "cinematic records" that the shinigami have to work with. I also liked the inclusion of fairies and elves in with all the rest... because why not? There's not a whole lot of effort in the anime/manga to keep the different belief systems/cultures distinct, so why not go all out here? It's certainly intriguing!!!
A few chapters back, when Ciel was thinking and worrying about getting old, leaving Sebastian all alone... I have to admit, that had me bawling like a baby. But then we have the reverse happening here, which I should have seen coming, but totally didn't: Sebastian is really the one who appears to be going away, leaving Ciel all alone! Both are sad! I'm wondering if Ciel will be able to put a stop to it all, or if Sebastian is really going to have to end up dying, in order to finish what he started and fix this imbalance. If that does happen, where will he go? It would be sad if he went somewhere that Ciel couldn't follow... although I wonder if a soul who pledged itelf to a demon can be saved, even if the contract is unfulfilled? Hmmmm... I can't wait to find out!
(It also made me ridiculously sad when he heard Ciel's call but had to ignore it, and then refocused by getting himself hurt. The other question this bodes is... even while gaining all this new power, will Sebastian be able to hold off the hordes if he has to constantly shift focus into not destroying the world?)
But definitely can't wait to see what continues here! I have a bad feeling that if Ciel goes in there, he'll just end up a target for all of these creatures who now know Sebastian's true motives. Hopefully he won't end up dead, then all this would be for nothing! Or I suppose Sebastian's need to protect Ciel could cause Sebastian to slip up somehow. And what, oh what will happen if/when Lizzie finds out about Ciel and Sebastian!?!?!
Great chapter, though very foreboding!
