Okay, I read a lot of fan fiction and this is AWESOME! I love the story idea and I think you should continue this story with the children. Maybe come up with their adventures and how they followed the grand line. After all, no one can write better about the characters you created than you can. :) Thanks for posting!

Wow, that was such a sweet and adorable story. The character deaths were sad but really well written. I enjoyed it very much but I think it would be best to keep this as a one shot to avoid just copying the plot of One Piece. I wished you hadn't killed off Zoro though but I still loved it.
