Minako’s first love Returns

Aino Minako stretched in her chair as she sat outside on the balcony of her apartment looking over the city. To everyone, she had it all: grace, beauty, talent, and a kind heart. But to her, there was something missing. `I know I should be happy right now, but I’m not,’ she thought. “If only I had Allan here, then maybe I’d be happy.” “Who needs Allan when you have me?” said Rei as she stepped out onto the balcony. “Rei-chan, gomen, I didn’t know you were here,” said Minako, who was surprised and disappointed at the same time. “It’s okay Mina-chan, it’s just fun to see the look on your face when I scare you,” Rei said as she sat down across from Minako on the balcony. “Wow, what a view from here. I don’t even get to see this much from the shrine. You’re quite lucky, you know that Mina-chan?” “Hmm… I guess so,” said Mina as stared off into space.
“I don’t see how you you don’t think so.”
“Oh yeah, name one thing that makes me lucky.”
“Okay, I’ll name a few: you’re beautiful, you have a wonderful voice and great acting abilities, and to top it off, you have a good heart.”
“But Rei-chan, you just don’t understand. Sure, I may have all those things, but I’m missing something much more than all that,” Minako said as she stood up and looked down into Rei’s eyes. “What do you mean Mina-chan?” Rei said. “What I mean is, I’m lonely. Just take a look around. You have Yuuichirro, Usagi has Mamoru, Ami has Urawa, and even Makoto has a new boyfriend. I know you all mean well, but… I just….” Minako broke off from her statement as she fell into Rei’s arms crying. Rei gently rubbed Minako’s back trying to stop her tears. “Mina-chan, look at me.” Minako slightly raised her head, and Rei rubbed away the tear that was still falling. “Having a boyfriend isn’t all that great. Truthfully, they’re a lot of work, especially keeping them out of trouble,” Rei said. Minako laughed lightly at her and cracked a small smile. “Look Mina-chan, now is not the time to fret over boyfriends. It’s already October, and we need to be studying to get into college. And besides, why worry over some stupid high school boys when next year we’ll have a whole bunch of cute college guys here just waiting for us, ne?” Minako stood up and smiled, knowing her friend was right. “Arigato Rei-chan, I appreciate this.” Rei stood up and was about to walk out the door, when she turned around and said “One more thing; no matter what, I will always be here for you. Don’t forget that. Ja Ne!”
Rei walked into Minako’s room and then out of her apartment. `I guess she’s right. Why worry about mere high school guys?’
The next day, Minako came home from school, somewhat depressed, but much better than she was the day before. “Konnichi wa Mina-chan, welcome home,” said Minako’s mom from down the hall. “Konnichi wa Okaa-san!” Minako yelled back to her, frowning. Minako wasn’t very fond of her mother, but was glad she was letting her stay until Minako could find her own apartment. “Oh, by the way,” her mom said just before Minako shut her door to her room, “Someone called you you while you were at school. I got his phone number for you. It’s next to the phone. He said his name was Allan, I believe.”
“Allan?”
Sorry I’m making this so short. I promise every chapter won’t be like this. I just wanted to see if this would be a good story. More in the next chapter, and a lemon by the 5th chapter, I promise!
