Dark blue eyes looked down at his arms; the white sleeves were rolled back up the arm, no longer concealing the scares of the young teenager’s brutal attempt to end his own suffering.
Scanning the arm in front of him, only he saw the beauty in those scars, each wound held a memory. Looking away from the torn up arm he looked down, eyes searching for his usual tool seeing it upon the desk he leaned over and grasped the cold metallic handle in his warm hand even though he himself felt no warmth through his hands.
Placing the sharp edge to his inner arm where most his scars began at the elbow joint.
He felt the familiar reaction of his mind loosing control and his eyes dimming to emptiness as the cold blade pierced into his skin and slowly made its way down the pale skinned arm.
He couldn't feel the pain but his body reacted to it, warm newly formed tears slid down his face as the thick deep red blood poured out of the open wound and onto the tiled floored ground.
Few lonely tears fell into wounwound coursing his body to tense up, though still the boy felt nothing.
He could now smell the copper red blood as its odour filled his nostrils; he felt his eyes growing heavier and his legs getting weaker.
He smiled inwardly, finally his pain will finish, finally he will sleep in the dark and won’t be disturbed, he will stay in the dark and he won’t have to worry about the problems of the outside world again.
A soft tapping could be heard it was too soft for it to be near him but then again it seemed like it was, he got one last glimpse of the door before he collapsed into his own blood as the darkness surrounded him, it drew him deeper into its clutch and he didn't fight it.
Distantly he could hear talking, someone was talking but it was so faint that no words could be made out, but the words were said in a strong commanding manor.
He heard more noises now, feet running, people yelling ....sirens....
Shaking his head subconsciously he screamed before he felt those common tears rolling down his face, how could this happen....he didn't want to be saved....he was happy.....he wanted this....he wanted to be let go....he wanted to go back to the darkness....go home...to go..
~~~
He felt his body waking no matter how hard he tried to keep the outside world away his body would fight harder to keep it there, it was almost like he was two separate people...one seeing hope and release from the pain of his life....and the other seeing nothing but failure and emptiness..
Giving up to his body's demands he slowly opened his eyes, they no longer held the sparkle that strangers would stop him in the street just to look at...it was true...once he was happy, he believed in life and hope...but then...his life was taken away from him in that one week...the happy ten year old boy vanished and was replaced by an empty alone young child.
It took a while for his eyes to adjust to the room, there was a bright light shinning into the room. Looking around he saw that he was in a hospital, the one place he never wanted to wake up in.
Still scanning the room he saw that it was empty except for the computers that monitored his condition.
Sighing he glanced at his arm that he had wounded and saw white clean bandages wrapped around them. Closing his eyes he tried to block out the world he felt the stinging sensation of the tears that were building up and preparing to fall.
Hearing the door open his eyes flew opened and focused on the intruder, at the door stood a boy around seventeen, he had dark drown hair and his eyes matching them perfectly, he wore a green top and blue demon jeans.
He could feel the brown eyes scanning him seeing his condition and also fighting for words to come that will break the tension that grew in the room.
"Ar...are you feeling any better?" the darker haired teen didn't answer and continued to look at the new comer with no emotion showing through his features.
Stepping closer he looked at the boy lying in the bed, "My name is Syaoran" he spoke softer trying to move the other teenager into conversation.
Still the other didn't answer, taking another step forward his eyes flicked towards the bandaged arms before they returned to the pale face.
"The doctors said that you can leave soon…tilltill there was no response "They want me to take you to my place....they don't think you should be left....left alone" he finished unsurely.
The only emotion he got from the other teenager was his eyes braking contact and closing. He could see the pain that he was in, not just physical pain but also emotional.
"What's your name?" he asked after taking another step forward, still he was not replied with an answer "Well I will be coming by tomorrow and pick you up then .....unless....unless you have a family member you wish to go to instead?" he asked, he jumped when he saw the teenagers eyes spring open and look over to him, Syaoran saw more pain in this one movement then he had seen in his lifetime.
"I. ....I'm sorry" bowing his head he looked back up at the boy that he had saved, his eyes were closed again but there was a single tear slowly crawling across his face.
Feeling scared that anything he may say will make the other even more sad, he nodded and slowly turned "I will be back to pick you up tomorrow" hearing no reply he nodded and walked out the door closing it quietly behind him.
