Move in
Elliott\'s eye lids drooped as the rain hit the window. The music drowned it out though. He turned uncomfortably and ran his fingers through his newly washed hair. The music clicked to a stop-tape over. Elliott pulled the covers over his head trying to drone out the continuous pitter-patter of the rain. Elliott liked Friday\'s but especially this Friday. It was Friday the 24th of October the day he broke up for half term, one whole week off from the hell-hole that is school. He continued to fidget around in his bed until he fell into a quiet sleep, peacfully dreaming into thoughts about Asuka Souryu and Rei Ayanami and into futile hopes about them moving in over the street. Somewhere up the street in number 17, little Craig Robertson also dreamt about the same thing.
\"Morning\" bawled the voice of Elliott\'s mother, awakening the poor boy from his gentle slumber, smashing any peaceful, relaxing simulations and bringing him crashing to reality. “We’ve got new neighbours\" Karen pointed out through Lukes window. Luke was Elliott\'s little brother and from Elliott\'s point of view a particularly annoying one at that! But he was alright all in all. Elliott rushed to the window still in his blue football clothes he slept in hoping to see a moving van with the inprinted logo of NERV or Rei, Asuka or Misato, he knew it was a long shot on thin grounds but it was worth a look. No luck. He heaved a sigh. Dave moves out and nothing but bitter disapointment replaced him. Elliott trudged back to him room and changed into his black baggies, t-shirt and Hoody. He pulled on his socks and walked downstairs. He started up his computer, slugged his feet onto the study table and relaxed. The smell of newly opened, fresh grizziling bacon waffted in from the kitchen His computer room was right next to his kitchen and along side his livingroom. Elliott relaxed, further the bacons smell soothing him like a curse afraid to leave go. Elliott was the lay-back kind of guy. Always talking shortcuts, always procrastinating, never really can be bothered with anything. There was a sudden knock at the door. Heavy slams, that of a more masculine person, couldn\'t be Kate. Elliott lifted up and strode over to the door. It was Craig, he was bouncing up and down all giddy like a primary child at the age of six, personally Elliott knew exactly why. The new neighbours have moved in, but he thought Craig was over reacting. Elliott opened the door. \"The new neighbours are here\" announced Craig at an alarmingly fast rate, all of his words spilling out in a rush. \"I know\" claimed Elliott \"I know\". \"Well, maybe you know\" Craig lowered his voice to a mere whisper \"Asuka, Rei! Let\'s go over and check!\". Elliott thought for a second \"What if it\'s not them?\". Craig had it all covered \"Well our excuse either way is, we\'re greeting them to the neighbourhood!\". Elliott grabbed his coat \"Fine\", he slid on his shoes and laced them up into double knots. Elliott knew of the stupidity of the thought animated characters could come to life, but he felt all exited and warm inside. Elliott pushed Craig towards the door of the newly arrived. The door was already open as the movers were moving items in. \"You knock!\" Elliott commanded. \"Fine!\" Craig knocked on the door. Elliott quickly hid behind the nearby bushes (seperating Dave\'s old house with Alices, a small child that is very cute and loveable.) He wanted to embarrass Craig by having him talk to someone that disappointed him and he didn\'t even know. But no talking came, no nothing no sound.
Elliott wondered what was happening, he peered over the bush...
