Disclaimer: I do not own Rurouni Kenshin, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story. |
This story may seemed a little weird, and I don’t know why I
wrote this, but I thought it would be interesting none the less to see what the
reviews were like.
There may be some Occ.
I hummed silently, kicking my legs, which lie over the arm
of the chair I’m sitting in. A book
lays in my right hand as a cup of iced Pepsi lay in my left hand. I set the cup back on to the glass coffee
table. I take the book into both hands
and continue reading.
She lightly takes the fabric in her hand. She slowly brings the tattered piece up to
her nose and inhales the scent. Her
eyes snap open and she bears her fangs.
“This hunters mine Trai.” She
hisses as a cloaked figure appears next to her.
I growl, as all I see are my bent up legs. “Give me back my book.” I twist around in the chair trying to locate
the figure that stole my book.
“Ow.” I cry as the book is
dropped back into my lap.
“How can you read that stuff?” The voice asks emotionless.
“I love fiction un...” Misao rolled her eyes as she was
interrupted.
ts ats are far more interesting and you learn things, unlike
reading that stuff.” I glanced to where
my legs hung, and saw his long legs. I
could feel his ice cold gaze trying to intimidate me. Knowing him since I was a child makes it a little difficult for
that gaze to affect me. I glance up at
him, getting comfortable again. I
picked my book up once more, took one last glance at him and tried to continue
reading.
“Misao?”< sty style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I sighed,
and flopped my book back onto my lap and turned my gaze to him.
“Yes Aoshi.” I was
growing tired of him annoying me. He
usually left me alone while I’m reading. He blinked and then hauled me onto his
shoulder. “AOSHI PUT ME DOWN, WHAT IN
THE WORLD ARE YOU...? NO, NOOOOOOO DON’T YOU EVEN NOOOOO AOSHI!” I pounded on his back as he hauled me to my
room. “AOSHI I TOLD YOU YESTERDAY I AM
NOT GOING TO DO THIS, NOT EVEN, IF YOU DO.”
I hollered as he continued walking to my room.
“Okina asked us, and I told him we would.” I started kicking my feet and landed a hard
kick to his stomach, making him stop for a second to gain his breath and then
he walked into my room, plopped me on the bed, and walked back to the door
shutting it and locking it. “If I have
to shove you into it I will.” Aoshi’s
voice actually held some ang/p>
/p>
“You didn’t even ask me.”
I seethed glaring at him, as he dung into my closet. “Okina knows I won’t dress up nicely, that’s
why he asked you.” I humphed and then
folded my arms and attempted a race to the door. Aoshi turned and caught me
around my waist and threw me back toward the bed. He misjudged the amount of force in the toss and I landed an inch
from the bed on my butt. I glared up at
him and he shrugged, going back to the task at hand. “Why do I have to go?” I wined.
“Okina asked me to ask you to go.” Aoshi said as he continued digging. “Misao you can throw some of this stuff out of here, you can’t
find a single thing your boxes are stacked all the way up to your clothes.
“You would have to ask him.” It seemed Aoshi’s voice wavered just a little, like he knew
why. I didn’t pay much heed to the
waver in his voice.
********
“This thin tig tight and itches, Aoshiiiii.” I wined as we boarded the train.
“Misao your drawing
attention to yourself.” Aoshi stated
flatly to me. I glanced around and
shrugged.
“So. THIS THING IS
TIGHT AND ITCHES” I hollered and grabbed a hold of his arm. He stiffened and looked down at me, but
didn’t say a word. I sighed and let go
of his arm. “ Just say something
Aoshi.” I replied as I grabbed a ring,
so I could stay standing. I continued
to glance around looking for a seat but they were all taken. I hooked my hand through another ring, as a
man went to take hold of it. He
scrunched his face in annoyance. I
smiled, as Aoshi seem to appear behind him.
“Aoshi it seems there are no more seats.” He blinked at me, probably for pointing out the obvious, but he
hadn’t yet noticed the man still trying to take the ring.
Aoshi reached out and took the other ring I had a hold
of. The man grew angry and turned,
bumping into Aoshi’s chest. He backed
away until he could see Aoshi’s face. “I was going to use that.” He stated
nervously.
“I was saving that for him, sir.” I knew Aoshi would just
stare at him, so I spoke before the man got angrier. He seem to waddle off, finding a seat, someone finally realized
the train had stopped.
I sighed as Aoshi stood still, staring out the window as the
train started. There was still a little
bit of movement as the train started and I was knocked into Aoshi, my hand
instantly letting go of the ring to catch myself before I fell into Aoshi. My hands landed on his arm, his head moved
as his eyes darted to look at me. I
smiled and then pushed myself back hitting someone. Another shove forced me to fall on to Aoshi once again, this time
my arms wound around him, to keep myself standing. “Watch it!” Was rep reply
I heard. I managed to stand and turned awkwardly,
elbowing Aoshi by accident.
“Watch it, you watch it I was standing here first you....”
The man was glaring at me, so what if he was a foot or two taller you don’t say
something like that when it’s your fault. The guy smirked as I had stopped
talking. “You asshole, why don’t you
actually look down, I raised my fist as he started to laugh at me. I didn’t think as my fist connecting with
his stomach. His eyes widened as he
looked at me, one of his arms going to his stomach.
o:p>
“You bitch,” He snarled and stood his hand raised to smack
me. Aoshi’s arm wound around my waist
as he pulled me towards his chest. I
was shocked, as the man didn’t seem to notice.
His hand still came toward me.
Aoshi caught his wrist and squeezed it.
The man cried out in pain and tried to pry his wrist free.
“You might want to refrain from hitting a woman,” Aoshi’s
cold voice stated flatly as he tossed the man’s wrist away. The man’s face turned into pure rage until
he looked at Aoshi. He instantly turned
quiet and turned away from us. I growled,
Aoshi’s arm returning to my waist.
“Enough Misao, we have already caused a scene. I don’t wish to provide another.”
“He took the ring I was using what am I suppose to do
now?” I turned my angry gaze up to
him. He was staring out the window again.
“You will just have to stand where you are.” Was the only reply I received from him? I took a deep breath letting it out through
my nose. I closed my eyes trying to calm myself down.
The train stopped about four times before we got off. As the train stopped for the fifth time we
got off. I silently stared at the
ground thinking about the rest of the train ride. Aoshi had left his arm around my waist, even after the people
left, the asshole standing next to us as well.
I tried to grab for a ring, only have Aoshi pull me back to his
chest. It was nice to be held by him,
but I believe he only did that so another scene would not turn up. We all know how Aoshi hates to be in the
spotlight, he likes to stay in the shadows just like the ninja he use to
be.
I feel a yank on my hand and turn to see Omasu. I smile, “Misao you must really have been
thinking you pasted the Aoiya.” She
giggled at me, as I blushed.
“Sorry.” We both
turned and went back the two feet.
p>
“Even Aoshi’s voice had no effect.” She whispered to me. I blinked and blushed a new image coming to
mind, featuring his voice saying my name as...I’ll stop that train of thought. I smiled as we entered the Aoiya.
“If we’re having tea here, why did I have to get dressed in
this itchy thing?” I question with a
laugh. All the faces blink at me and
then turn to look at Aoshi.
“You didn’t tell her?”
All the voices asked at the same time.
“I thought it best if he were to let her know, instead of
me.” Aoshi sighed and turned going
toward the office.
“What didn’t he tell me?”
I questioned irritably as the looked down and shook their heads. I huffed and went after Aoshi stomping, the
best I could.
“What are you not telling me...?” I blinked as Aoshi bowed to a gentlemen sitting at the desk. “Would you please tell me what’s going
on?” I almost hollered.
“Misao show some respect.”
Okina told me as he entered and bowed as well.
“NOT UNTIL I KNOW WHATS GOING ON HERE!” I screamed this time. I saw the man smirk slightly.
“You have not changed since you were little.” I heard the man voice. His voice sound very regal, and I know I’ve
heard it before, from a long time ago. “She really doesn’t need to bow.”
“But...” I heard Okina stop as the man raised his hand.
“She is after all my daughter.” I stood straight and stock still as my eyes widened and all I
could do was blink. “Well usually you
have so much to say, why are you not now?”
“I was told you had died.”
I said flatly. His face
contorted into a shocked expression.
“As was the whole Aoiya.”
He furrowed his brows. “I was in
a very bad state Misao. I was close to
dying as it was.” He stood up, looking
to be about as tall as Aoshi, who still sat on the floor. I sighed and let my body loosen up.
I smiled slightly and nodded. “I really don’t know what to
say. It was hard to hear you had gone,
since you’d been around so much. I was
6 when you left so I really don’t remember what you looked like.” I stated normally.
“I understand.”
“So why have you come back now?”
“For an agreement Aoshi and I had.” I saw Aoshi take a shaky
breath.
“That was?” I
questioned, he didn’t look too happy about it.
“Your marriage.” He
smiled warmly.”
I fell to my knees, in surprise. “Marriage to who?”
“Aoshi of course.”
“WHAT!!!” I
screamed. I love Aoshi yes, but he
doesn’t exactly show any feelings for me.
We’ve been friends forever and sharing an apartment recently. We talk and eat together but nothing else.
“Misao please keep your voice down.”
“Does the whole Aoiya know of his agreement?” I screamed at the man, who claimed to be my
father. I stood up.
“Yes, you’re wedding will be the day after tomorrow.” The man walked towards me.
“If I refuse.” I
snapped.
“You can’t.” His
ocean blues eyes turned angry.
I looked to Aoshi who had his head turned away from me. ‘Why wasn’t he voicing his opinion?’ “Why can’t I?”
“I am you’re father, and Aoshi will be killed.” He stated in a rage, I would say.
“Killed why?” I
screamed as I looked over to him again. “You can’t force me to do this, and why
should he die because I refuse.”
“Those were the terms to the agreement. He has signed it and its legal, binding you
could say”
“He shouldn’t have to die!”
I hollered, “There is something
you’re not telling me isn’t there?”
“Yes Misao, but it doesn’t concern you.” This so-called father walked out of the room
saying one last thing, a mere whisper in my ear. “You will marry him, if I have to make you, and I will.”
I looked to Aoshi and ran from the room heading for the
door, he blocked my way.
“You will not leave this house.”
“Why are you doing this?”
I asked, tears streaming down my face. I was a little happy at the
thought, but Aoshi didn’t love me and Marriage without love meant nothing to
me.
“I want you to be married, to someone I can trust will take
care of you. You have grown up with
him. You and he know each other. You also love him. You can tell by your eyes and the way you look at him.”
“Yes I do, but Aoshi does not return my feelings and
marriage without love isn’t anything to be proud of.” I bit out angrily.
“He can learn to love you, if he doesn’t love you
already. He has never expressed himself
to you, nor anyone else. He is
unreadable, but you will be one completely, as well on your wedding night.”
“You can not force me to do that.” I threw myself at him. His hands caught my wrists.
“I won’t have to.” I looked into his eyes, which seemed to
be smiling at me. He wasn’t mad at me
now. His lips turned into a smile and his arms wrapped around me. “You are so much like you mother, you definitely
have her spunk. She would not be forced
into anything either. I think you will
be surprised as to the new outcome.”
I sighed, “There’s no way for me to get out of the agreement
is there.” He shook his head at
me. I wiped my eyes. “Fine I won’t run, but you can not make
me...” He cut me off.
“I know, but will you stop him?” I blinked at him.
“What do you mean?”
I never got an answer as I was shoved up the stairs by Okon and Omasu.
********
Aoshi and I were not to see one another before the wedding
day. I was so angry with him for not
telling me about this. He looked so sad
that day he wouldn’t even look at me. I
had been told I could see him once more before the wedding, but I decided against
it as it seemed wrong. I shouldn’t
question him, he’ll tell me when the time is right.
I sighed, as I looked myself over. The Kimono that was chosen for me was a light blue on the top and
turned into a rich deep dark blue. I
was amazed that it had been my mothers Kimono.
It was very old and the silk was soft.
It had Sakura petals everywhere on it.
It was a beautiful wedding Kimono.
I loved it, but still being married like this felt wrospanspan
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I sighed once more as I heard a
knock. I turned as the door
opened. Omasu and Okon were standing in
the doorway.
“You should wear your hair down Misao. It’ll bring your eyes out.” Omasu smiled at me as she picked up a brush
and walked over to me. She took my tie
out and started to bush my hair.
“Misao I hope you’re not angry about this. Aoshi was told not to tell you. Your father was the only one that could,
because if he died before you wereage, age, the pact would have been
broken.” Okon said quite rushed. I smiled, but it didn’t reach my eyes.
“I’m not angry that I wasn’t told, I’m angry because we’re
not marrying for the right reason.”
Okon breathed a sigh of relief, “I believe you’ll be
surprise Misao.” I gave her a
glare.
“I got the same response from my father.” I stated.
“We should talk about more important things.” Okon and Omasu both smirked. Omasu had finished my hair; she had made the
top half of the sides into a ring braid.
The top section on each side was braided to the middle of the back of my
head. The there was a barrette place to
hold them and the rest of the unbraided hair fell with the rest.
As soon as Omasu and Okon had finished their talk, I
couldn’t seem to get rid of the blush that was staining my cheeks. I saw Aoshi blink at me, his eyes a little
wide. I guess he had not seemed me with
my hair down either. Most of the Aoiya
residents hadn’t.
My father said something to Aoshi, and he nodded and then
his face went back to his emotionless mask.
I took a deep breath as the wedding began.
********
I sighed as Aoshi and I returned to the room we would be
sharing while at the Aoiya. I had been
told that my stuff had been moved and my room was now empty. We reached the door and I opened it. I squealed as Aoshi picked me up and carried
me into the room.
“Aoshi?” I
questioned as my hands had grasped his shoulders, unsure why he did that.
“It’s a custom used overseas.” Aoshi stated, his voice actually sounded quiet. He set me down and walked toward the
window.
“Why did you not fight this?” I couldn’t keep the question inside any longer. I had to voice
it.
I heard him chuckle, “It was you fathers wish.”
“If it was just his wish you could have said no, but you
were to be killed if I said no, why?” I
knew I was treading on a thin line, but I had to voice my opinions.
“Misao, this was made a while back. I was young and I agreed to the terms
said. I felt it was my duty to listen
to my master. I never really thought
about any actions to come later.” His
voce was softer than usual. I walked
over to him and wrapped my arms around his waist. He stiffened and I instantly let go and turned and looked at the
bed. ‘I was hoping there would be some feeling, but that reaction...’ I stopped
my thoughts and sat on the bed, falling on my side, my legs still hanging over
the edge.
Aoshi seem to stay at the window for while, my eyes drifted
shut, and I fell asleep. I awoke to
some commotion down in the Aoiya.
“You can’t just expect them to carry on like usual, being
forced to marry like that.” I heard Okina’s
voice. I turned on to my back, the
covers over my form. ‘Aoshi must have
moved me.’ I looked around the room,
but I was the only one in the room. I
sighed, and stood up slowly.
“I don’t expect them to be the same, but for him to walk out
like that.” I heard my father’s voice.
“I would have done the same thing. Holding a pact like this after disappearing, and being reported
dead, isn’t right.” Okina didn’t seem
to think to keep his voice down. I
could tell they were in the study, their voices not too loud, but still able t
be heard down the hall.
“He didn’t have to react like that.”
“You asked him something I wouldn’t even have thought
of. I grew up around Misao and her
being your daughter is another reason to have not of.”
“He still didn’t have to punch me.”
“Asking if he’d tired Misao already wasn’t exactly the
question he wanted.” Okina said
defensively. Misao laughed, ‘So he dose
care somewhat.’ Misao opened the door
silently and walked down the hall toward the voices. “Aoshi didn’t grow up in the new age, he grew up with traditions
and rules being taught to him. He also
grew up with Misao, it will be a difficult marriage for them, and he believes
he’s far too old for her. That she also
needed someone more worthy than him.”
“Why would he think that, because of the deeds he’s done? He
is a spy, and Misao was one at one point as well. They were both trained as s
The door was opened two wide-eyed faces stared at me. “I was wondering where Aoshi went.” I smiled at them, they knowing I had heard
some of the conversation.
“I believe he’s downstairs.
He went out earlier while you were resting...” A chuckle from my father
interrupted Okina, who glared at the dark haired man. “I believe he has returned.”
I nodded looking at my fathers bruised eye.”
“So Aoshi has already defended me I see.” He scowled at me. “Nothings happened father, please be kind around Aoshi. He’s not one for jokes after all.” I bowed to them both and turned toward the
stairs. I slowly walked down the
stairs.
“That was just too funny.
Who would have thought we’d see Aoshi punching somebody over
Misao.” I heard Omasu laughing.
“I know he does care for her. Otherwise he would have stared at Saeso; instead he punched him
in the eye. He’ll have a bruise for
while.” Okon giggled
“I’m sure if not for Okina, pulling Aoshi back, he would
have punched him a couple more times.”
Omasu said dreamily. I blinked
at that, ‘Was Aoshi really that mad for what he said.’
“The vulgar way he said it, surprised me. I would have thought a man such as him would
have learned not to say that. Aoshi
demamuchmuch respect from his comrades, as does he for his friends. I wish I
had a man that would stand up for me like that.” Both Omasu’s and Okon’s giggling were quite loud. I walked into the kitchen and the giggling
died down.
&nb![en![endif]>
“Misao you look tired.”
I nodded.
“I guess worrying over the wedding kept me up the past few
nights, I had a small nap. I see there
was some excitement as I slept.” I
smiled knowingly. Both women looked at
one another and we all started to laugh.
The door opened leading out to the veranda and Aoshi walked
in. He stilled looked to be quite
upset, he slid the door shut with a loud CLICK. I looked down at the table as he passed. I heard his footsteps halt and I felt his
eyes on mean san style="mso-spacerun: yes"> “We’ll be going back home
tomorrow, please pack your things.” He
was angry; I stood up smiling at Omasu and Okon.
“I guess I better go and do what he says.” They both stared at me. True I was not acting normally, but I did not
wish to further upset him, and have him leave tonight. I was looking forward to sleeping in the
same bed, weather he wanted to or not.
“Can you do anything without punching me.” Saeso complained as hunteunted and stood up.
“If you would stop saying such crude things about Misao, I
‘m pretty sure he would not even bothering you with his presence.
“What was said this time?”
I questioned. All eyes turned to
me. Aoshi’s softened a little.
“Nothing to worry about.”
I got angry at my father’s response.
“It was about me and I want to know what was said.” I replied angrily.
“Fine, I said...” A warning glare from Aoshi stopped
him.
“Say it again and I will do more than what I have. Aoshi shrugged out of Okina’s grip and
walked toward their shared room.
“So Misao you are leaving to go back tomorrow.” Okina questioned.
“I guess, Aoshi came in and told me to pack my things.” I smiled getting a stare from him as
l.
“I just said you must scream to loud for him to want to stay
here.” My father shrugged and was not
expecting my next move. He got my fist
connecting with his uninjured eye.
“I’m sure you said worse to Aoshi.” I seethed. “What he and I do is our affair not
yours.” I stormed down the hall and
into the room. Ripping the door open
and slamming it shut. I stilled as Aoshi
stared at me. He had his shirt off and
was working on untying the pants he wore.
I hurriedly turned around ready to open the door. A hand placed on mine stopped me.
o:p>
“We’ll have to get use to this eventually Misao, we are
married.” I shivered at the touch and
his voice. I nodded and he pulled
away. I still faced toward the door as
I heard clothes rustling. “You can turn around now Misao.” I turned around and took in a breath; he was
only in a pair of pants. His finely chiseled
muscles were revealed, and I gladly stared.
I caught myself my cheeks flushing red and turned my head away.
“Sorry,” I whispered.
I looked back at him as he turned toward the window once more. Sighing, I undressed quickly, I found my
clothes in a bag and rummaged through it and pulled a shirt and some shorts
out. I placed them on and sat on the
bed. “Aoshi?”
He turned his head and looked me in the eye. I motioned to the bed, and my cheeks turned
a red hue again. “Misao I will just
sleep on the fl...”
“NO!” I ordered. “We’re married, we should share the same
bed.” My cheeks flushed even more. He blinked at me and nodded.
“For tonight.” My hopes dropped that this would happen more often;
we were going back to the apartment tomorrow, separate rooms. I pulled the covers back on my side and got
under them. “Thank you for making me more comfortable early Aoshi.” He turned around and got into the bed on the
opposite side and turned away from me.
My heart seemed to fall at that gesture. “Am I really that unwanted Aoshi?” I whispered too low for anyone to hear or so
I thought. Aoshi quickly sat up and
looked at me.
“Misao, what do you want.
I never expected to be married, I don’t express my feelings you know
this.” Aoshi took a breath.
“I just wanted to be held is all.” I stated not looking at him.
I could feel his gaze on me, but he didn’t move. “I’m sorry Aoshi, I don’t know how to act
either. If you want to sleep on the
floor go ahead sorry I even suggested this.”
I laid down my back to him. I was just hoping for something like this
afternoon. I heard him sigh and the bed
move, but his weight didn’t recede. I
smiled a little, my heart sped up as Aoshi’s arm wrapped around my waist,
pulling me slightly towards him.
“Is this what you meant?”
I heard him ask coldly.
My back was a mere inches from his chest. I could feel the heat radiating off
him. I sighed as I leaned back a little
making my back touch his chest. He
pulled away and I sighed. “No it
isn’t.” I tried to pull away from him,
but the hand around my waist wouldn’t alme tme to move.
“Then what did you mean?”
“Stay still and I’ll show you.” I slid back against his chest again, he stayed still, but he was
still stiff. “This is what I meant, but
you being stiff as a board doesn’t help anything Aoshi.” I turned around to face him. His eyes were
closed, probably in concentration as to not push me away. “You have to relax in order for it to feel
right.” I stated exasperated. His eyes snapped open and he looked at
me. He nodded at me and relaxed a
little, but his body was still stiff. I
sighed and looked up at him, my eyes widened as his lips met mine. It was a soft kiss and I responded as he
broke the kiss. Some where along the
way I wrapped my arms around his torso.
He relaxed even more and I sighed burying my head in his
chest. “This is definitely right.” I giggled as I yawned and my eyes drifted
shut. “Mmm.” Aoshi’s arms tightened
around me and I welcomed it.
I awoke the next morning; I kept my eyes closed as I was
surrounded with warmth. I took a deep
breath and instantly I opened my eyes.
I smelled Aoshi; I smiled and pulled him closer. His arms tightened around me. I stilled as I thought I had woken him up,
but his even breathing showed me he was still asleep. I looked up into his sleeping face and smiled. He looked so cute, without that scowl. I smirked as an idea came into my head. He was a light sleeper usually, but he also
kept his window open at night to be in a cool environment, lets see how warmth
affects him.
&nb>
I started to kiss his chest, I heard him mumble an
“Mmm”. But he didn’t awake. I continued, his arms started to loosen
around me, and he turned on his back, still taking me with him. His arms somewhat loose I sat up a little
and kissed him fully on the lips. The
reaction I got wasn’t expected, but wasn’t totally un-welcomed.
I stared up at Aoshi, his eyes wide. His right leg was in between mine, and both
his hands were holding him up and placed on each side of me. I smiled at him and he stared at me. His face went back to his usual mask as he
got off the bed. I sat up and watched
as he walked to the window. “I’m sorry
Aoshi.” I sighed, looks like I upset
him.
I saw him shake his head, “We’ll be leaving soon, and you
still need to pack your things.” I got
out of bed and started rummaging through the bags and items they placed in the
room.
“Alright,” I stated angrily. I grabbed some clothes and left the room, going into the room
that use to be mine. I shut the door
and dressed. I returned starting to
pack my things for the ride home. Aoshi was no longer in the room and I no
longer cared. ‘He didn’t even comment on if...’ I trailed off, I needed to pack
not muse over stupid things at the moment.
________________________________________________________________________
Aoshi and I had said goodbye to the family we have at the
Aoiya. I believe my father asked some
more vile things; Aoshi seemed to always be angry with him. It was cute in a way, he doesn’t show it,
but he does care a little. If it’s a
friend caring for a friend or a lover caring for a lover is another thing. I sighed as we boarded the train, a seat
catching my eye and I practically ran for it.
I didn’t want to stand; I was still emotionally tired from all of
this.
I must have lost Aoshi, because I didn’t see him. He’d find me eventually. I turned my head to look out the
window. I felt the seat moved and went
to say something, thinking it was Aoshi, until a hand wrapped around my arm
yanking me towards him. I fought
pushing away from him, but he wouldn’t let me go. “Let me go.” I seethed.
“No,” I could smell sake on his breath, again I tried to
pull away, but he wrapped his other arm around me.
“LET ME GO!” I
screamed, He was crushing me to him and it hurt. I felt the man freeze and
heard Aoshi’s voice.
“Take your hands off my wife.” The man shoved me away, my head hitting the glass of the
window. I squinted my eyes at the pain,
but watched as the man staggered to his feet, he intointoxicated. He lunged at Aoshi, who swiftly dodged. He didn’t throw one punch to the man. He caught his arm and brought it behind his
back. The guy tried to fight even like
that causing himself severe pain.
Finally the man stopped struggling so much, and Aoshrew rew him toward
the exit. He got off the train and
Aoshi sat next to me. I could see him
staring at me from the corner of his eye, but he didn’t say one word. I managed to place my back against the seat
back and sighed, keeping my head bowed.
‘What did I do this time. I only
sat down in a seat.’ I growled and we were silent the entire trip home.
We arrived home and I walked into the apartment, my book
catching my eye, it still lying where it had fallen. Aoshi walked in as well, walking right by me. “Aoshi,” He stops and turns his head to look
at me. “What happens now?”
“We go back to the way things were.” I stared at him; he said it so calmly like
it was obvious.
“I don’t want to.”
Aoshi turns toward his room again, but stopped at my
words. He turns to face me. “Misao...”
“I cut him off, if you didn’t want to marry me you shouldn’t
have. You could have fought if you were
attacked you know.” I bowed my
head. “All this was thrust upon me,
while everyone else knew, yet I’m the bad guy.
I thought maybe you’d change your mind.
You even referred to me as your wife.
You even protected me in a way.”
I laughed at that.
“Misao, your not the bad guy...” He glowered at me as I
raised my head and spoke once again.
“No I’m just someone
to you. You only married me to save
yourself.” It was harsh and I knew it
but I didn’t take it back and I wasn’t going to. I walked toward my room.
Aoshi’s hand on my upper left arm didn’t stop me, until he turned me
around. He backed me up against the
wall. Aoshi stared down at me, he
seemed a little angry.
“Misao, I didn’t ask for this and neither did you. We should go back to the way things
were.” His cold voice tried to sway my
opinion.
“NO! We were
married. Things can’t stay the same I
won’t let them. It’s not fair to me.
Why do you have to choose, why can’t I say something. Why am I always the bad guy in this? I
wasn’t even told, you could have at least....” Aoshi’s lips brushed mine, his eyes
actually softened
“It will take time for us to get use to things Misao, you
will have to give me time.” His voice
was quite softer than usual.
“Alright,” I relented.
I smiled, “On one condition?”
“Which is?”
“I can kiss ya when ever I want.” I giggled. I wrapped my
arms around his neck and pulled him in for anther kiss.
“Fine,” He actually growled, my arms were still around his
neck. “Misao let me go.”
His voice was deeper and it seemed like he was trying to
hold back on something.
“Why,” I purred. He
crushed his lips to mine once more. His
body crushed mine to the wall. I gasped
at the contact, his tongue sensual starting to battle with mine. I move my arms so they were holding him to
me. I clutched on tighter, as my legs
felt like they wouldn’t hold my weight.
The kiss broke and Aoshi’s eyes were a darker shade of blue. I stared at the smoky look.
“Something’ll happen we’re both not ready for.” He whispered into my ear and then pulled
away.s"> I tried to steady my breathing as
I slid down the wall.
‘If that’s something I’m not ready for, I am now.”
