Disclaimer: I do not own Okane ga Nai, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story. |
An experimenting fic, probably because there are none in the Okane ga Nai section, and I thought it'll be nice to "call first". Although I'm a big fan of yaoi and I like the fact Okane ga Nai has lots of hot sex, I'm irritated at the fact that NEARLY EVERY seme is in lust of Ayase. Is that truly necessary? Anyway, this fic is the thoughts of Kuba Misao regarding Ayase. I believe Misao is one of the only semes who hasn't had any attraction towards Ayase (I'm still waiting for Homare to make his move, and I don't consider Gion seme). One shot and rather pointless, but please enjoy anyway.
I'll admit, I don't know what happens at the end of Okane ga Nai. I get my scans from #forever-more on mIRC, and they're only halfway through volume 4 (but doing an excellent job of it). If, for any chance, Misao decides to jump Ayase, then I take this all back. But until then, on with the show...
Discalimer: I do not claim property to Okane ga Nai in any shape or form, it belongs to the authors and the artists. I think the artist is called Tohru Kousaka, but I have no idea who the author is. Either way, I am not any of those people. Please do not sue. *whimpers*

There's Something Strange About Ayase...
By Birdie
I have nothing against him --although I have no special affection towards him either-- but sometimes, a thought fleetingly passes through my mind. It makes me feel rather guilty, like I'm slandering someone who is nothing more than an acquaintance. But every time I see him, I think there's something strange about Ayase Yukiya.
I keep telling myself there is nothing wrong with him physically, although he is quite short for an 18-year-old and horribly thin. But there is something about his face too... not in a negative way! The opposite, in fact. Ayase is a very beautiful young man.
Maybe that's what's wrong: men are not supposed to be that beautiful.
It's not a bad thing, obviously. But it certainly makes you wonder: this beautiful boy has melted the icy heart of our boss (a true statue of sadism), and I think has also claimed the love of my big brother Homare.
Not that he'd admit to it, of course.
It's late, almost going to 9 in the evening. Me and my brother are tiding the office, sorting out some papers and trying to find files. The boss is in his own private office, probably hissing threats down the phone to an unfortunate client who hasn't paid the debt. People should never, ever get on the wrong side of Kanou Somuku; he ought to have a sign saying that.
My brother's not concentrating. His eyes aren't even focus.
"Thinking about him?"
He jumps, making a noise of surprise and letting the files fall to the floor. "How? Ayase?" he stops, the blood from his face disappearing.
I smirk. "So it is him."
"No! That was ...reflexive!!"
"Homare, you can't fool me. We're twins," I put my hands on his shoulder and smile shrewdly. "Telepathically linked."
"I hope not..." he mutters, eyes narrowing.
"I hope not too," I mutter back under my breath, patting him on the shoulder. God knows what my brother thinks in that head of his, and I want no part in it.
...I wonder what Ayase thinks in his head. He must be traumatised, poor boy. The family's dead, having a low-life for a cousin, sleeping with Kanou, rape attempts at what seems like every other week, hassles from a designer who's trying to make him wear a maid costume, Gion...
Yes, Ayase must be positively traumatised. And that pretty face of his is not helping him any further.
"Even though you're a guy, you're abnormal! With that face and that body, it makes people want to take you...!!"
My brother told me some time ago about the incident in the classroom. A guy called Iida tried to rape Ayase.
So what else is new?
No, no, that was cruel. Misao, don¡¯t be so cruel. We should all feel sorry for Ayase, and support him. He must be feeling very scared right now. Who would have thought university students were so possessive?
Of course, no one is scarier and more possessive than the boss is...
"Hey, Misao. Go tell the boss we're done and going home."
I nod, glad at the thought of leaving. Hand poise to knock at the door, I suddenly hear something. The boss is talking on the phone, his voice sounds normal but his words are not. I can barely make it out on the other side of the door...
"Alright then, touch yourself, you have my permission."
Nani?
"What are you crying for? Doesn't it feel good?"
I close my eyes and take a deep breath.
"Do it for me then, Ayase. Make yourself hard for me."
Calm, Misao.
"How does it feel? Can you feel your skin tingling and your heart racing? Listen to the sound of your own voice, Ayase, listen to yourself beg me."
Calmcalmcalmcalmcalmcalmcalm. Calm.
"...What? You want to come? But this is just the beginning... ...don't you dare come, Ayase -- not without my permission."
His voice takes a sterner tone, although I know he can never deny him anything for too long. But I tear away from the door and see my brother's face in front of me.
"Why aren't you going in?" he looks annoyed. No doubt he wants to go home and masturbate over his own private fantasies.
"He's... busy. On the phone."
"The boss is always busy, on the phone."
"He's busy. On the phone. With Ayase."
Two words and my brother's face flash from irritation to shock to jealousy to defeat -- all the space of a second.
When did my brother turn gay?
...Perhaps it is best not to know, especially since he's my older twin brother and all. I fear it may one day traumatise me if I probe too deep...
When did the boss turn gay?
...I never realised he was interested in anything. Although a few months ago, I had a concept that he was aroused by large sums of money...
When did Someya turn gay?
...Off the subject, that person was gay since birth. Moving swiftly on...
When did Ayase turn gay?
...Probably birth too. I can't imagine how a boy can be straight with a face like that: it's like something out of a shounen-ai manga...
Don't get me wrong, I'm not homophobic in any shape or form. I'm just curious on how seemingly every older man that crosses Ayase's path have fallen head over heels in love, lust or both for him. It's like something you see in a film, or read in a manga.
I wonder who will be next...
Will Gion turn gay?
...Doubt it. People may run away screaming at his poor attempts at flirting...
Will I turn gay?
...May do, may not. I'm not holding my breath though...
"Ah, Boss! Are you going to go now?"
I turn to see the boss holding his coat and briefcase, a sly look on his face as if he's trying to conceal a grin. That phone conversation ended rather swiftly...
"Homare, Misao, are you two going as well?"
We look at each other and shrug. "Yes... we were about to leave, weren't we...?"
"Yes, I think so too... but what about Kato-san's file?"
"Who?"
"Kato Akira, the guy who owns us... I forget how much. Doesn't his debt have to be paid back by tomorrow?"
"I think the boss has that sort of things..."
From the corner of my eye I see the boss wave the subject off with his hand. "I'll do it tomorrow," his voice sounds tired and suppressed. "Right now I need to get home."
Homare seem to have something on his mind. His hand quiver just very slightly. "Sir..."
"Yes, Homare?"
"How is... Ayase-kun?"
For a second a hint of suspicion glitters in Kanou's eyes, but he lets out a yawn, a stretch, and it is gone. "That's the reason I'm going home."
Probably to finish off what he couldn't on the phone...
But me and my brother stand speechless as the boss leaves. He has never ever left the office with jobs yet to be done. Not even on festivals. Not even on birthdays. Not even on public holidays.
"D-did Ayase just tear the boss away from his work?" Homare asks me, his eyes wide.
"L-looks like it...!" I reply, shaking slightly.
"How does he do it??"
"I don't know .............................. magic potion, maybe?"
"........."
"........."
"......... damn, I need to get me some of that..."
Truly, there is something strange about Ayase Yukiya.
The End
To sum it all up, I believe Ayase is a shoujo-manga girl-protagonist with a cock. It all fits: anorexic main character who is stunningly beautiful (face of an 8 year old girl...) with a tragic background (I do feel sorry for him though), builds a shell around himself until a hot seme breaks it open and they try to maintain a relationship with shenanigans of rape attempts and love triangles in the background. Why am I suddenly thinking about Anatolia Story and Ayashi no Ceres...?
There, that is the summed up version of why I resent Ayase. What do you think?
